My most ambitious Photoshop manipulation.I scanned the cover of People Magazine (May 2000) which was "The Fifty Most Beautiful People in the World 2000."
They had chosen Julia Roberts for the cover.
In Photoshop I extracted all the elements of the image to layers and finally erased Julia Roberts and replaced her with a photo of my wife, Bee. Then I dropped all the elements back onto the background, leaving me with this.
I then printed the image and pasted it over the original cover of the magazine. I laid it on a table in the living room and said nothing. Finally, Bee saw the magazine as she walked by it (for about the fiftieth time), and did the world's biggest double-take.
She took it to work with her to show it around. One of the people there said "This is amazing! But I can't find the article!"
Update, Sept 11, 2010.
The image shown is the image I used in my photo manipulation. As I noted in my journal, People magazine demanded that I remove the deviation. I'm sure that sketchybob is very proud.

thanks very much. if i had any idea what i was doing i'm sure it would have been much better and taken much less time to do. i understand about 1% of the photoshop process.

At DA everyone has to promote theirselves. I change the bottomline every two weeks or such, just when the old one is boring me.
Harbor, the right word to describe a DA-site. A harbor needs ships and boats on visit, or it is not a harbour but a ship cemetery for wrecks.
btw, you are the first one who comment THESE bottomline. I fear you are the first one who had read it. If this is the true, bottomlines are not that what people at DA hope . . . and much comments could be much shorter. I saw comments with 3 lines text and 12 lines at the bottom. Ahahaha!

Well, of course, I knew the purpose of your "sig," or "bottomline" as you call it. I was only trying to be clever and funny with my comment. I always read the sigs, and have no problem with self-promotion being a part of them. Yours is funny, which I think is a good thing for a sig to be.
And yes, they CAN get out of hand!
