Hi all.ΒJosh45667 here.
Normally something I wouldn't do but I feel this needs to be said lately we've had a very hard/bad time with DC Comics/DC TV Shows/DC Extended Universe and even some rocky stuff with DC Animation in recent years and I feel this needs to be talked about as a community. Ill break it down to focus on that certain topic.
DC Comics:-
Recently DC just relaunched it's brand with it just being called "DC Universe" now, this is the successor and follow up from DC Rebirth. Many things have changed good but most of them are mixed or bad. For example, The Teen Titans have changed, now with a lineup that inculdesΒ Robin, Kid Flash, Red Arrow (Emiko Queen), Crush (Lobo's daughter), Djinn, and Roundhouse, from what I have gathered, this was heavily criticsized by fans for saying not being true to its formula and the removement of Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven, Superboy, Aqualad. I have to criticsize it myself, because I don't want some team being replaced by wannabes. Another fact is recently with the Justice League, Darksied is going to be a Justice League member fully, another move that is heavily panned by fans. Darksied would NEVER ever do such a thing, for the true fans that know him, Darksied is supposed to be the warlord, the tyrant and dictator of DC Comics. The positives are that Justice League with Superman, gets it's animated series reunion in the comics instead. But yes I don't see a future in this brand and I am blaffled that Geoff Johns who is DC Comics president is authorising all of this.

- Teen Titans 2018 criticism:-
Lets start off with the recent news of Beast Boy, Starfire's and Raven's first look on the scenes, however this was LEAKED and the image shouldn't of appeared anywhere on the internet at all. Anna Diop lately is saddened and upset on how the DC Fanbase is treating her. Shes calls this abuse, racism and the fact that a lot of people are rejecting her. I misjudged her myself and I think she'll do great, but the world has gone too stubbon to a point that whatever is revealed. People think it's the final product, It was a behind the scenes picture, it hasn't got any CGI/VFX yet which people seem to misunderstand. I am absolutely disgusted with the Teen Titans and DC Fanbase itself for treating Titans 2018 like it's going to fail when it's not even out, am more disgusted that fans are giving Anna Diop abuse and even Ryan Potter and Tegon Croft on Beast Boy/Raven's so called relationship that is unlikely to happen.
- DCCW/Arrowverse:-
I don't need to say this much, but because Warner Bros are wanting new TV shows, I have a feeling the Arrowverse will end shortly soon. Despite recent news of renews. The arrowverse has being doing poorly in content and hasn't done good ever since either the first season or second season. Greg Berlanti is fatigued. Hes ran out of ideas, hes also a merdiocre producer. Hes not really that great imo. He tries to hard to be a Bruce Timm in my opinion. The only show that should contiune for now is Black Lightning.
DC Animation:-
Rocky start, recent years starting with Teen Titans: GO! a panned show that is now getting a film, probably Warner Bros decision. in films, Batman The Killing Joke really destroyed people's hopes for good future adaptions. Batman Gotham By Gaslight only just restored some people's hopes lately. The New 52 animation is still mixed reviewed like always, so no change here much. WB have just cancelled too much, that it's lucky Young Justice has recently just being revived for a Season 3.
DC Extended Universe:-
Fucking hell. some stuff to say about this. People are still upset this universe hasn't given what they want and WB constantly messing it up, which is true, I believe it myself, but people still complain today when there's NOTHING you can do. We just have to wait to see what Aquaman or Shazam or Wonder Woman II does. Here's the positive for the haters of the DCEU, your absolute archnemesis Zack Snyder has being demoted and left, hes now an executive producer of most films for the time being. It's also more saddened that Ben Affleck is likely to leave, one of the greatest actors that is likely to leave the role because hes not "committed" which is such a shame. But people really do need to give this franchise time now, Warner Bros had to reshuffle the whole DC department for a SECOND TIME.
Future Content:-
From the looks of the future, Warner Bros has nothing special planned at all, were getting a repeat of Death of Superman, were getting a show titled "Metropolis", were getting a Harley Quinn Animated Series and were getting spin-offs we don't fucking need. It's absolutely disgusting from WB. AKA its milking for money. The only interesting show thats on the way is Damian Lindolf Watchmen on HBO
Final Words:-
I cannot describe, no I cannot believe what Warner Bros are doing to the DC Department, you own it, but you don't let the staff get on with there work and provide goods things, WB just want to ruin people's childhoods or even dreams. They're treating the DC Universe like it's their plaything, which once again is a fact, I absolutely feel sorry for the people that are no longer fans/don't follow DC anymore because of how it's being treated, but what can we do?

I feel like we should just wait when all cools down, I haven't been aware of the recent activity in the comics, but looking at how mixed of a figure Brian Michael Bendis is, I wouldn't be surprised it's get attention but not in the best way; talking about Arrowverse, its certain that it hasn't got itself together after 2016, but I don't think that everything in there has to be terrible, people still love The Flash, Supergirl, Legends Of Tomorrow, and the new Black Lightning show (I myself am a fan, but I had to dropped then due to other responsibilities), as long as they have their fanbases and have people interested they'll be OK though I disagree on Greg Berlanti, the man is a good producer and director, his film "Love, Simon" got very positive reviews, and even if people don't like him, I think the man has had the guts into making a shared television universe and I respect him for that, though I wouldn't blame him if he was fatigued considering that he's producing around nine DC shows and other non-superhero shows; Titans, you know my stands on Titans, that I think its awful that even with the response that Anna Diop put up to clear everyone is still not enough, and people continue to bash on all social media about her look WHICH I DON'T FIND THAT HORRIBLE, is just the damn wig that's a little ridiculous, I still recommend in waiting for actual and legit official images and judged it more better; Teen Titans Go Movie, just let it be what it is; DCEU I think they're on standby for now only focusing on making Aquaman and Shazam which I think is the best and better thing to do to replan with future films, I'm still excited about both movies, and they should take as long as they need to make them great, while Wonder Woman 2 there's rumors that filming will commence this Summer, Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot are coming back which is great, we know that Kristen Wiig is going to portray Cheetah, actor Pedro Pascal joined the cast as well, there's rumors about Suicide Squad 2 filming in the UK either late this year or late 2019, I think its better for them now to just stay focus on these films before moving forward with the films post-Wonder Woman 2; about Warner Bros "milking" in other stuff, that's what studios are there for, trying to take advantage on the most of a property, and despite me being about how this DC streaming service is going work, I'm starting to get concerned on the worse case scenario if it doesn't, let just hope it works out well
I suggest everyone to just let this half of the year flow forward, and wait for middle in this Summer to wait for new announcements, as well as for Comic-Con, where I'm certain that there it will be revealed and confirm everything, so then again I think the best thing we can do is just sit back and relax when everything cools down

Well remember Darkseid has more or less been regressed to an infant with no true telling if his memories are as they were before he died and was brought back under the control of Grail.
And she wanted to raise Darkseid to be good. I don't expect it would even last that long for him to become evil again but it does sound like an interesting idea. Can the ultimate evil be made good even for a short time? And will the experience of being good affect him in some way?
It's essentially a question of nature vs nurture and stories based on that concept are always pretty interesting.
As for everything else, I don't have a problem with except Teen Titans Go. I understand wanting something to meant so much to one's childhood to be preserved, but much like how we grow from children, the things we love often grow and change as well. Happiness comes from being able to accept these changes and understanding that what you loved in the past isn't gone forever, it stays with you and is often celebrated in the present despite the changes in the present.

ugh... putting DARKSEID in the JL roster is like having the Red Skull in the Avengers, and that would make him way too OP as fuck.
Yeah, that new Teen Titans roster just SUCKS and I guess we can blame Bendis for this shit. Hell, this might make fans like me even more unhappy with what may happen to Jon Kent, especially after so much character development/potential that has happened in recent events.
REBIRTH was going awesome until Bendis showed up to give us DCU.

Bendis isn't the head of Titans or Teen Titans, it's just sickenning that Geoff Johns is just authorising all of this like I said to you. What can't Warner Bros and DC Executives have a talk about what they need to do. Because DC is really not good atm.

Well, even Marvel said that they fucked up with Captain"Hail Hydra" America and Spider-Man's "Fuck You" to his marriage of MJ, so maybe DC will reconsider these mistakes in future stories. However the hell long that takes.

This is prolly why DC cancelled those titles cuz its likely those characters will either change or not exist at all. The new Man of Steel 6-issue arc is said to "dramatically change Superman's world" and will follow in other issues afterward.
I'm starting to think that Bendis never cared much for Jon Kent nor the SuperSons.

Even that, I don't actually care, Darksied is not a hero, not a Justice League member. It's not rocket science to know that hes supposed to be some tyrant to DC. Same as Thanos is for Marvel.

You kind of have to care for the context of a story. That gives your criticism more weight.
Heβs not just βsome tyrantβ to DC. He is THE tyrant of DC. The nastiest one. (He also has a completely different goal from Thanos).
Iβm just saying that he might have some sort of evil goal/conspiracy, or it may not even be βDarkseidβ in the truest sense. We have to weight and see what Wonder Woman does to him in that current storyline to truly judge.
Not saying it isnβt stupid, I agree, but still
