As most of you know Warner Bros. now have a DC Streaming Service going for the United States. As most of American friends on Discord and other areas on the Internet, the service isn't doing well to expectations. I am going to speculate probably what went wrong and why its not attracting anyone to the service. I will probably talk to you whats affected it.1. DC Extended Universe:-
The DC Extended Universe starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot has attracted plenty of attention since Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice that released back in 2016. The film was met with heavy criticism and backlash by the dull and dark tone, Batman killing, Superman being grumpy and no color, it was also critic-sized for it's script and pacing and overuse of CGI. The only film that stood out positive was Wonder Woman 2017 that was directed by Patty Jenkins. To make matters worse, Suicide Squad 2016 suffered worse fate than Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
Its no surprise but eventually people started leaving like Hans Zimmer who composed the music for BVS and Man Of Steel. Junkie XL also left the projects also. David Ayer doesn't know if he will be doing Gotham City Sirens, that is rumoured to be cancelled. Many directors have left multiple projects like Doug Liman, Ben Affleck for the Batman movie and more.
Zack Snyder who launched the universe quit the DCEU as director in March 2017, following the death of his daughter. (Autumn Snyder) who unfortunately committed suicide. This made Snyder leave Justice League's production at the time, to spend time with Deborah Snyder and his other kids at this tragic moment. Meanwhile Joss Whedon took over as director and writer and re-shot most of Justice League to make things "lighter", Danny Elfman composed the whole Justice League score, which suffered heavy backlash from fans and audiences due to it's similarities to Marvel films and the reuse of Christopher Reeve's Superman theme that did not FIT Cavill's Superman.
Geoff Johns and Jon Berg founded DC Films in 2016 which would create control over the films, unfortunately both of them left the roles and was replaced by Walter Hamada in 2018. Geoff Johns now serves as a writer for some movies.
My believe and speculation is that because the DCEU has being so mixed and diverse, it has turned many many many people away from the DC Universe. To a point where people don't seem to care nor have interest in DC Comics anymore.
2. Conflict with the studio:-
Warner Bros made so many reshuffles to the DC Comics and Entertainment department to a point where no one knows who's who anymore. Diane Nelson left as DC CEO, Geoff Johns quit DC to form his own company. Jim Lee now is DC's president. It's also being heavily rumoured for 2 years that Ben Affleck has left the role. Zack Snyder has had arguments with WB Executives.
Again my speculation because there's being so many reshuffles, they are announcing very unnecessary things for the service.
3. DC'S Titans:-
In April 2017, Warner Bros. announced a TV Series based on the Teen Titans. They casted the following actors such as Brenton Thawaites as Robin/Dick Grayson, Teagon Croft as Raven/Rachel Roth, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy/Garfield Logan and Anna Diop as Starfire/Koriand'r. As the production of the show progressed, they eventually showed looks of the characters and people were NOT impressed. Especially with Starfire. Many saw despair with Starfire, as she looked like a "Prostitute" as some fans describe it, they also did not like the costume she was wearing either or the "race", as Starfire is orange, more criticism went to the dark tone of the show, dull and brutal violence, just like Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
The speculation, despite the episode 1 is mixed to positive, lots of people have turned DC'S Titans away due to the features in the show and character designs. The "excessive" violence as some people describe did not help either, also lack of judgement and people did not give the show a chance to this day.
4. Content till next year.
Short one, but most of the content, releases next year in 2019, such as Stargirl, Young Justice Season 3, Doom Patrol, Swamp thing and more. Its no surprise, but people don't think the service is... something to have.. at all.
5. Re-release of TV shows/animation/films:-
Most of the service has things people already own, got or have already watched. It doesn't matter either if its in HD. Most people, like me, own the DC Animated Universe (Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League etc), Teen Titans Season 1-5, The Batman Season 1-5.. and more.. At this point, some people question weather its worth money, that somethings they've already got.
Final point:-
Most of this is speculation, perhaps when the new shows start coming next year, more people will probably get the service. It is a very concern that a lot of people are turning DC away due to the films, because there's being 5 films. People don't have the courage to watch anything DC at all, at this time.
Its really sad that people that have the interest for DC Comics at this time or it's characters, but its come to a point really where people shouldn't expect quality stuff anymore. DC is going to get ups and downs tbf.

"This is how it ends for the greatest criminal mastermind of all time. Not with a whimper, not with a bang. How do you suppose they choose to reward Lex Luthor: The greatest genius of our century? Do they give him glory? Do they give him treasure? What, matter of fact, DO they give him?"

The WWE Network had a bumpy start too, now it's a success and completely changed how they release content. DC just need to keep at it, I for one can't wait til it's available in my country I'm excited to see Titans as I like what I'm hearing from those who've seen it.
