Best if WB just makes these DCEU movies by just saying they're in continuity rather than shoving glorified for future films or pursue any kind of Avenger-style team up until there's enough good movies justify bringing together characters everyone likes.

This was made 3 months ago, it is confirmed they ain't doing a shared universe or focusing on it anymore. All the films we see will be fully standalone.
There will still be ups and downs for DC Comics regardless.

I guess. Just because BvS, SS and JL were bad, that doesn't mean I'm an MCU fan... boy. I love the DC heroes and villains since I always liked the DC cartoons in the 90s and 00s more than the Marvel ones. Both Captain Marvel films look great in their own way. That said, I'm skeptical of anything about the Joker going forward, I'm doubtful over the standalone film coming up and I don't know why WB is using Jared Leto... and Johnny Depp in the Harry Potter films for that matter.

I only liked BVS/SS
Justice League was a industry superhero disastor.
The reasonΒ why they are using Jared Leto for one, its because hes an oscarwinning actor, Johnny Depp is also. DC/WB will do anything to get their hands on Oscarwinning, high profile actors that suit the roles to them.

I thought it was because of a contract obligation that WB can't break in spite of Leto and Depp's unwelcoming on-screen performances as well as Depp's off-screen controversies and they could possibly file a lawsuit if WB sacks them or tries to end their contract early.

No, WB tries to recruit the best of the best really.

But when they become reviled for their bad or samey performances and their personal lives make them more problematic, it's best to let them go. At least the Dark Universe never took off, so that's one less overpaid job for Mister Depp.

As I'm sure you've seen me post before, my prevailing idea is that the story from 'Man of Steel' to 'Justice League' was about the birth of the idea of the superhero and its various points in how it came about. And adding along what we saw from 'Wonder Woman' it's also telling the story of the birth of a new age of heroes after humanity has had millennia without wondrous super-beings living among them.
'Aquaman' and going forward is the exploration of that new age. The prototype versions of heroes like Flash and Aquaman whom we saw in 'Justice League' becoming fully realized in their own films after coming fresh of their first true foray into hero work in 'Justice League'.
And from what we've seen of 'Shazam' and how through what Freddy Freeman has in his room, we will be seeing how people in the DCEU universe have accepted the idea into their culture. Shazam being a hero freshly born into this new age.

from the way it's shaping up so far the Metahuman Era sounds correct, I'm curious what DC will do to more or less fix the things that went wrong with Green Lantern in Green Lantern Corps

Green Lantern Corps is a full reboot, it is not a follow up to GL 2011. just hope you are aware of this.

I am what I'm saying is that whatever they do with Green Lantern Corps I'm hoping it's good enough to make up for the previous botched attempt to make a Green Lantern movie franchiseΒ

I sort of hope it'll be good, but they have got people like David S. Goyer... and am not really a fan of him to be honest, despite he did good films like TDK Trilogy.

I wonder if they might do an Elseworlds universe with Joker as how they said before

No.
I think they are still going with what Zack Snyder said, this is a standalone universe. there's going to be no elseworld or anything to it.

If you wanted it, I can understand why, I can guess the positive it opens up to new characters or existing characters in the DC Universe that haven't collided yet.
But at the moment, they are just pretty much overstuffing these films as they can, DC Comics is owned by WB, so they don't need to wait like 10 years just to get rights, unlike Marvel that is. who has too.

No no, I never said I wanted it, I was just wondering if they were moving forward with that idea or not
