Description Hey all! I saved certain stages in the image due to big, unflattened images so thought I would make a use of all the slow-down on my computer -_-. lol.

Hope someone finds this useful . I had a lot of fun with this one!

Here is the final image... joshsummana.deviantart.com/art…

Stupendous work as always!
I have a question though; how do you add colours like this to a black and white drawing? How do you build it up? I've always had trouble with this process.

I Have a question. This "shadows and mids are more saturated than the highlights" Is this a universal rule or something you were doing with this painting? I always felt the opposite but I am probably wrong. Your insight on this would be great.

No its a rule . You should do some studies or just observation studies with some still life or something.... Generally the most saturated point on a form is just before/after the core shadow. . But then it does depend on the lighting... obviously if its a bright blue light directly hitting something then the rules change slightly.

I have been paying more attention to shapes in my studies more so than lighting, however after reading all this I most definitely have noticed it. I have been over saturating my lights for awhile now it seems. Thanks for the insight! It is very much appreciated.
