Description
As mentioned I would be doing a second set. I figured rather than doing villains again I would try to do heroes whilst giving them are darker, more badass feel. With that in mind, here is Sonic!

This is something I never expected with Sonic. He looks like the type from Sonic Sat AM, ready to go into Robotnik's fortress alone like one of those heroes with nothing to lose.
I absolutely love the shading, lighting, color and how realistic he looks. I like the fur on his back and quills. I especially like the over-sized head since it looks like his original appearance back on the SEGA Genesis. It's a nice mix of the good TV show the the original games.
There isn't much else to say other than that this is a REALLY good representation of the blue blur.

Oh...this has capture my attention to Sonic. He looks so realistic like an animal. I love the mix of blue and orange fire. It's carefully well done. I'm also impress by his impression of his looks because he looks dead serious to me. I love it. I also love the color values in the background of and I like how the fur was showing texture like a real furry animal. It's natural. Sonic looks natural in this picture and showing action this. This is the most nicely picture of sonic I ever seen before.So realistic I could touch him!Nicely shaded and and nicely colored.I would have gived this an A++!And the background is really cool.It looks like sonic was in a fire.It's just amazing!The green eyes and the blue fur look very realistic too especially the fur.You are the most coolest artist i've ever seen.I loved the other ones you done mostly mario was my favorite.I wonder how you do this?This is the best so far it's so amazing and detailed.And the pose sonics in is sweet!Do you think this is fair?

This is BY FAR the best picture picture of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog. I especially like the the Realism in this deviation but the face is a little creepy, this looks like this could be a future SSB4 design which is really saying alot for all the other SSB designs I've seen. Looking at this realistic Hedgehog Its like he's right here next to me. It's not very original because it's based off Sega's one and only. Your usage of technique is unique. The Fire Sonic is "Standing in" makes the impact amazing. Overall this Picture is COOL,GREAT,AWESOME, OUTSTANDING and AMAZING.

This piece of artwork is absolutely divine! The shading and lighting are perfect. Even down to the smallest detail like the individual strands of fur or the shadow of his nose are done very well! Every time I look at this, it seems to pop off the screen! To be honest, when I first saw this piece I thought it was some sort of edited cosplay. It's also not just this piece, it all of yours. You are a truly amazing artist and your work is amazing! I also love the expression, he seems irritated or slightly nervous. Maybe both? Never the less, I hope to see more of your works on the first page of DA, keep up the spectacular work!

I am a fan of almost all kinds of Sonic artwork, so I've seen my fair share of Modern Sonic fanarts. This one really gives off a different feel than the others, though.
To start, the color of the background - from the darkness on the left to the orange glow on the right - makes me feel as though Sonic is back in Solianna, trying to rescue Princess Elise. A serious countenance and tiny embers surrounding his body completes the effect, building up the impression that Eggman really screwed up - and shit's gonna hit the fan.
What I don't like about this piece, however, are Sonic's proportions. His head is just one size too large for his body - which would make sense if we were talking about Classic Sonic, but is oddly grotesque for Modern Sonic. The needles are also much smaller than we usually see, almost as though Sonic was physically trying to go back in time, and failing miserably.
All in all, a solid artwork depicting the more serious side of everyone's favorite blue speed demon. Not the best in the world, but certainly one to add to your Favorites!

This isn't bad but it's probably my least favorite of these character pics. I can see what you were going for. The overall atmosphere works and Sonic looks very cool but there's something I can't get over. I suppose a lot of your stuff is creepy but it was done well. What bothers me is at first glance this looks fine but as I look closely at the big picture it seems you managed to make Sonic kind of ugly. The bulges over the eyes are weird and the huge forehead makes me think of someone like Robotnik. It's the shape of the head I suppose. Maybe if the tufts hanging down were placed differently he would look less like a gorilla.
Of course I'm conflicted because there's things I really like about this. The coloring and lighting work well, and I love the way you draw that hair. Plus the expression is nearly perfecr.

This absolutely, beautiful piece of artwork is so goddamn freakishly creepy, that I would describe this as pure genius-perfection. Pleasing yet, terrifying to look at. It's enough to make any old man cry...and children
