Description
When the Novus first took in humans POW and refugees from the failed colonization attempt from the Immortal, they chose to take their children and gave them a chance among their people. Humans often face discrimination within the Novus, partly do to crimes the Immortals have committed against the Novus and it’s people, both humans and non humans a like, but to the other races it is still humans killing their loved ones, humans burning their worlds and humans turning their kins into cloaks or slaves. Though the government does its best to combat this, on the frontier humanity finds themselves in a rough situation at best often facing higher tax laws, forced to live in lower income areas or often overlooked when looking for work or other.

For some, they turn to a life of crime to better help their families and themselves, other seek to prove those who look down upon them wrong by joining the military. A highly honorable and respectable decision anyone within the Novus can make, as unlike the common civilian who claim they will die for their home and people, those who join claim and take a owe to protect and die for all who live within the novus. To give their lives for a great good and to fight for a brighter tomorrow, human families who even have a single member join the armed forces will often be treated with much more trust and respect as the action one will represent the actions of their kin. Though it isn’t perfect humanity has left their mark in the Novus history, both for good and bad reasons, but many new recruits hope to drown all haters with their pride when they return home a hero.
