Co-existence is an idealistic take on Humanity’s relationship with Mother Nature. This artwork represents the possibility of humans peacefully and harmlessly co-existing with all other life on Earth. With man being solely responsible for the rapid destruction of Earths environments, an idea like this is easily discarded as unrealistic. However, with the consistent advancement of technology and the collective awareness of humanity’s actions and reactions, this utopia could one day become reality. Co-existence requires, if nothing else, sharing. Above is a young woman submerged in a sea of foliage, sharing with the plants the most important influence to all life on earth, sunlight. This seemingly insignificant act puts purpose into the tiny, every-day actions we can make to improve the earth, actions that are generally discarded due to a dwarfing sense of hopelessness. The near 50/50 divide of sunlight is exactly how this issue needs to be approached, with equality.
