Description
Nidoran are poisonous little creatures. They have 2 distinct evolution appearances. This is shown by what sex they are.The males are a pinker color compared to the female which make them stand out a lot more in the forest, but despite lack of camouflage their bright colors show potential predators that they are highly poisonous.
They have barbs, similar to thick porcupines needles, but are not as tightly packed. They blend in with their skin so that predators cannot distinguish them and identify the non poisonous areas.
Nidoran actually have very curious natures and bond well with humans at a young age. Their poison cannot kill a human but can make them quite ill with symptoms similar to food poisoning.
They live mainly in thick forest and feed on things such as berries and shrubs. Despite their stumpy looking legs they are very fast and are hard to catch if you startle them.
Hope you like it

Cute yet still prickly!
Quills like a porcupines? But aren't a porcupine's quills actually hair? How can hair have venom in it?
Still cute and prickly!

quills are hollow and can hold venom, animals such as quilfish, wasps, and even some mammals like the platapus have this feature... plus dude its a pokemon, a fictional creature that has evolved in a compleatly differnt world to ours, sometimes you just have to take my word for it

I know platypus are poisonous. Porcupines, however, are not. I can believe a poisonous mammal, but not a mammal with poisonous quills made of hair.

why not, thats essentially what a platapus has. a poisonous spine (quill) under its arm? you can suspend your disbeleif for giant fire breathing monsters but not for poisonous quills?

But a platypus's spine isn't hair, is it?
If you said it had venomous quills like a platypus, I'd take that, no problem. Venomous quills like a porcupine, not so much. I was questioning the animal you compared it to, not whether it's possible in and of itself. A genuine poisonous mammal exists, so I'm not saying it can't happen, I just thought you had the wrong animal.

Ahh, Nidoran(M), it's just as cute as Nidoran(F)! Excellent work, Josh, he's so sweet-looking, and definitely looks like something a predator wouldn't want to take a chance snacking on. Ahh, I want one now!
