I think any Pokemon large enough to be ridden would have its own saddle, some would be too dangerous to ride I'm sure. Many PokΓ©mon could be used for races, any large enough to be ridden. But humans would probably specially breed them for that like we do with horses

Anyway, great job!Many people tend to forget or completely ignore the fact that saddles need to be secured to keep it stable, and be comfortable for the pokemon, so I applaud you on realism and a great sketch ^^

Hee. I love this idea so much.
One little thing, not even a critique, but an interesting little factoid - if you ride with your toes pointed down like your example trainer here is, you'll end up going over your mount's head when they stop. Or, in the case of Arcanine, (I assume it doesn't run like a horse, since the legs are so different) whenever it's in a fast run. Why? Your feet are your shock absorbers. ;3

I'm looking through the entire gallery, and I have to say the thought you've put into all this is mindblowing. I just wanted to comment here as Arcanine is one of my favourite PokΓ©mon and the idea of riding one is a daydream I've had since I was a little kid

Likely because it wouldn't really have any purpose in the game. A human can't fly or swim for a long time, so it's needed for that, but a human can walk, run and cycle, so hopping onto a pokemon isn't useful gamewise.
But tons of fun realistically!

I loooooooooooooooove your designs!! They are the coolest!! I would love to ride on Arcanine (my favortite pokemon!) Your saddle design is wonderful, I do have one comment though. Canine spins fluctuate when they run, you know, up and down, and the way saddle is positioned would restrict that movement. Just thought I would help a bit!
