It's been awhile since I've drawn Defensor this was a challenge to draw because of the reason on how to pose the titan in a respective image. I wanted to draw Defensor reaching out with his left hand as if he is ready to use his ability to create a force field to protect the humans while he withdraws using his fireball cannon. Knowing Defensor's personality I did my best to capture a good appearance for him on who he really is which I'm really happy with. This has to be my strongest drawing of Defensor yet.

Very true! He is the embodiment of what the Autobot side needs to protect human lif and they never failed to show that in the cartoon, which stayed true to his whole toy/character!

I love the pose as it suggests protection and shielding, rather than an offensive pose that would not convey that caring personality that is Defensor. Of the combiner teams, Defensor was to me the one that truly represented the Autobots ethos, protecting the humans from the destructive power of the Decepticons. He deserved a lot more appreciation than he received.

He was never a killer in my mind either, more a gentle protector who felt the fear of those around him and reallt felt connected to the humans he protected.

As always, I enjoy your character choice, colors, and pose. I like his left hand best here. It adds energy. He looks like he's holding still yet ready to fire in a moment's notice.

I always hated that they had the motorcycle in there and that when Defensor formed, the bike was the same size as the other appendages.

Sure do if you are looking for episodes featuring the Protectobots I can name them for you.
The Revenge Of Bruticus (A few scenes of the Protecotobts mainly in vehicle mode saving people which is what they do best)
B.O.T. (Very good episode of the Protectobots in vehicle, robot, and as Defensor mode)
Surprise Party (In a few scenes at the start of the episode)
Carnage In C-Minor (Get to see the Protectobots here and there)
The Ultimate Weapon (One of the most memorable episodes focusing on First Aid)
The Burden Hardest To Bear (Short appearance of the Protectobots as Defensor)
The Return Of Optimus Prime - Part 1 & 2 (The Protectobots do there best in episodes 1 & 2 to do everything they can)

Very good work, J. If I have any quibble at all, it's perhaps related to his head. His helmeting feels like it should be a little bit thicker and also I think his chin is a bit more substantial. But other than that, ace job.

I can see what you mean and I agree but at the same time I was drawing from the toy and wanted it to fit in well in terms of size and perspective. I also think you have a good point about his chin but for me I think from a lot of Defensor pictures I've seen of his chin they all seem to always look fairly big and I like it that way.
