Description
So I do love my mysterious character Reece (Here's his first appearance ) that I did quite a while back and decided to revamp him with my current style! So here is a full-body, full-render, free-fall-ish pose painting of him with his altered design. I kept many of the same characteristics (the same paint job for instance) but changed up some parts (like opting out the cyborg parts). Overall, his true personality should be much more visible which is a tired, chill, wary, pessimistic, kinda shy, care withholding, and music loving lizard thing! π¦π§π€ Let me know what yβall think of the changes! I will say the cyborg bits are still debatable going forward (am thinking they could be concealed under the skin/scales I Robot style but idk). Also, his original name used to be Razz when I was thinking em up and I kinda want to go back to it so I think I will for now. Let me know what you think of this new name versus his other one: Reece. From my perspective, the name Razz relates to raspberries which I love, it reminds me of Jazz which I also love, I consider it to be representative of all things chill, and I feel it best represents the overall colors and design of the character.
Technical Stuff
Technical-wise, I created this piece using an updated process that involved more layer structure and more fair blending techniques (aka blending that applies shading more evenly regardless of the colors underneath) to achieve similar results to what I was doing before. In simpler terms, shading can now be applied the same way to any other new piece as I did with this one and it should look just as finished. This mainly means the colors of the character do not greatly change the effects of the shading (where as before, the shading was dependent entirely on the colors of the character). I can even save out the colors of the shading/light in the form of gradients and reuse them!
Although I still feel I have more work to go on this process before I am willing to call it a major improvement, I think I did a pretty good job of getting it up to speed with what I was doing before. Definitely let me know what yβall think below! It would really help me get a better understanding of whether or not Iβm going in the right direction with it or if there were certain things done better before!
More Possibly Cool Stuff!

Thank you! I love the feedback and am glad to hear I could pull off his colors!Β
Ik, speedy art (and the time to do it) is hard to come by, but I have made progress for sure!

Thank you! I like to be very upfront and analytical. Helps me think straight and lets others feel closer to my work in a way. If anything, I hope that others may learn something from the experiences and knowledge I share here and there. Glad I know at least one person feels this way!
