Description
This piece is a full-body, full-render of a new random and pretty chaotic dragon character I was inspired to make. I will likely do more with her later but I thought this would make for a fitting start. For context, the weather where I live is very unpredictable and we are currently experiencing snow in places even though it is Spring π₯Άπ‘ (with other places getting extreme heat βΉοΈ). Of course me being pretty indifferent of snow, I donβt know what the heck to do with it π and I donβt think she does either! Really, this character is just a happy/derpy goof (chaotic neutral/good perhaps) who doesnβt get to be around snow much or perhaps never experienced it before. This idea stems from all the hilarious friends Iβve come to know on campus that actually live somewhere else where it never snows and are eventually confronted with the crazy weather we have to deal with here after moving in for the school year. I find their reactions funny and priceless but it also makes me very happy to see others so ecstatic about a little thing like snow that we locals are so quick to write off as a total nuisance.Technical Stuff
Technical-wise, I created this piece using an updated process that involved more layer structure and more fair blending techniques (aka blending that applies shading more evenly regardless of the colors underneath) to achieve similar results to what I was doing before. In simpler terms, shading can now be applied the same way to any other new piece as I did with this one and it should look just as finished. This mainly means the colors of the character do not greatly change the effects of the shading (where as before, the shading was dependent entirely on the colors of the character). I can even save out the colors of the shading/light in the form of gradients and reuse them!
Although I still feel I have more work to go on this process before I am willing to call it a major improvement, I think I did a pretty good job of getting it up to speed with what I was doing before. Definitely let me know what yβall think below! It would really help me get a better understanding of whether or not Iβm going in the right direction with it or if there were certain things done better before!
More Possibly Cool Stuff!

I love this coloring! Your colors choice is perfect, also well-made lights are making the work. I really love and admire your style - it's one of the best I ever saw and I hope you'll make more amazing (and maybe even better!) arts in the future ^^
Also the title and little blep <3

Bleps are high octane material, the world hungers for bleping dragon art. If you went into animation you could do mlems (haha). Also, hella fine job with these clean and awesome light effects again. I am beginning to doubt the doctrine of the black line.

Ha! That's quite a funny idea! Although, animation is pretty far out of my league atm sadly π I'm glad to hear you like it! I love the effects for sure! They are unique and I like that in my work but I do feel like they can be a little much at times. I'll probably mess around with other looks and see what I can learn.

Some people would say a little much is just right. I think many people are drawn to your vibrancy. Either way,Β I'm sure that at your level, wherever you end up going will be neat.

I'm glad you like my art that much but I'm unable to help you out with your tech issue sorry π’ I would seek out DeviantArt forums (via google) or their support staff who are somewhere on here.

Thank you! I am very much a fan of radiance and the captivating effect it can have when viewing. Much like backlight imagery.
