Been a tad longer than expected but I’m back with more! This is a toon version I did of my new OC, Flint. I think he’s adorable and I hope y’all agree! Let me know what you think!

Character description: For an in-depth-ish description of the characters appearance, behavior, past etc you can find it in the description of this piece posted today as well: Hint Of Flint . I will point out however that Flint’s appearance here is not entirely what he currently looks like now. Most about em is the same or close (colors, hair, scars etc) but there have been updates since the creation of this piece (because it was done when I was first conceptualizing the character). This is a good example though of his more anxious, self-conscious side.

Style notes: This one is very outside my usually comfort zone. My intent was and is to try and find a cartoon(ish) style that is pleasing but also more efficient to make (considering my current typical style takes quite a bit of time to do). I think that this one is good for the most part and definitely a starting point, but I still feel the need to experiment a bit more (perhaps take more elements from my current style and achieve an average between the two) to reach something I’m truly happy with. Let me know what y’all think of the look!

Future plans: My last semester of college thus far has been quite eventful. So much so that it has set back my time to work on other things such as art quite a bit. This will likely continue for sometime and as a result, I might be posting about as long as I recently have been (around 2 weeks) for a while (until things cool down and I get better at my processes that is). I intend on doing about 3 to 4 more headshots just like Hint Of Flint & Dragon On The Spot , and in the mean time I’ll begin shifting toward a more simple (quicker and more easily replicable) style (with more full-body and composition stuff too). So be on the lookout for that stuff! I feel good about my progress thus far and hope y’all do too!
