Whit his command, Division became one of feared and ruthless and brutal units in Republic army, also know as "Blood fang division".

Simonov and his division commit many war crimes, but since he had many powerful supporters, like Zeno-Krull , Palpatine's adviser and inner-circle member and senator of Kaza, who had married his cousin and had contacts to Republic weapon makers, so he never get answer to his crimes.

When war came in to end, Simonov's forces captured and execute former CIS dictator Nero Benzoni and his closer advisers. and give their bodys to people as a"present" from the New Galactic Empire. Shortly after that, Simonov get a mission to safe the treasures that Separatist and their allies had loot in Renov sector and return it to Loyalist government. Treasure, that hold an gold, money, art and precious relics, were hold by last of Renov 71th Marine Brigade in they base in norther Vlaskiv. These last Militarists plan to evacuate loot and last of they forces to place where Separatist holdouts still hold. Simonov's was other plan for the treasure. Having no interest to serve the Empire longer, he plan to keep loot himself and fade in to another planet whit other name. He promised his men a share for a loot. Renov's had sent few Loyalist officers to watching for the return of the treasure, lead dt Colonel Roy Melarko, commander of the Police Battalion and a national hero. Simonov's plan to kill them.

Militarists try transport loot for a train to spaceport, but soon they road was cut by Nexu Division's armored train. Marines and they last droids fight bravery, but they were kill to last men. After massacre, Division was returning they base whit a loot. During the travel, Simonov and his loyal clones try kill Melarko and his officer's, so they cant prove that Simonov had steal the treasure. During the fight Simonov and Melarko ended to struggle in trains control wagon. In the end, Melarko kick him out of train to the snowy terrain. Sometimes later, he manage to find outpost and return to base, but before he get his revenge, Darth Vader arrived. Having heard for Simonov's betrayal, Vader was sent to punish him and he kill General by a force stroke. In the end, the Empire confiscate treasure. This action made Renov's feel betrayed and they start hate the Empire. After that, the Blood fang division was sent to occupied Onderon whit a new commander.
