Background
CT-0442, nicknamed "Ra" was a Clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was a clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett created and trained on the planet Kamino and served as a part of 501st legion.

In some point of 19 BBY, by the time of the Outer Rim Sieges, Ra and several other clones joined the new 17th company, which included some clones from both 501st and 212nd Attack Battalion. The company was placed under the command of a young reptilian-Renov officer, Captain Zack Picolo , whom Ra had befriended. As a part of honoring they commanding officer, the clones customized they helmets whir green color and was soon nicknamed "Picolo Company". Ra was promote to company's sergeant.

The co mpany took part of the Second battle of Klono V, in order to retake Zack's homeworld. During the battle in the City of Oruno, Zack lead his clone squad behind enemy lines, where they took down a line of cannons to create an opening to Republic forces, and destroyed the tactical droid commanding the Separatist forces. After the victory, Zack was celebrated as "Hero of Klono V" and Grand Duke Samir II, ruler of the Renov species, arrived to reward him and his clones with medals. Sometimes after the liberation of Klono V, However, the company was disbanded. While in Coruscant, Zack had an incident with Admiral Tarkin, as a result of which he had hit Tarkin directly in the chin and then disappeared. As a result, Zack was expelled from the Loyalist and Republic army, and the clone return they original units.

Ra later was reassigned to the 332nd Company, a company within the newly created 332nd Division of the 501st Legion. When Zack and former Jedi Ahsoka Tano returned and met with her former teacher and friend Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi to discuss a joint operation between the Republic and the Mandalore resistance,Ra was one of many clone troopers who customized their helmets in a stylized version of Tano's face and markings, by also adding green slice and the letter Z in reference to Zack. With Tano and Picolo as an advisor, newly promoted Commander Rex led Republic forces in the Siege of Mandalore against renegade Sith Lord Maul and the Shadow Collective, which controlled the planet from the city of Sundari.

After the Shadow Collective was defeated and Maul was captured, Ra was among the remainder of 501st Legion forces that departed Mandalore aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tribunal, which was transporting Maul to Coruscant. As the Star Destroyer was en route, Chancellor Palpatine, secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, enacted Order 66, activating all the clones' inhibitor chips, including Ra's. Under command of Rex and ARC lieutenant "Jesse", Ra entered the command room alongside a group of the clones, opening fire on Tano, who was able to escape in the smoky haze caused by the firefight. Seeing Tano had escaped, Rex ordered the troopers to hunt Tano down, reminding them of the directive of Order 66, while Zack who was trying to stop clones and left behind, was arrest for treason and aiding her. While other search Ahsoka, Ra and clone named "Wigs" was order to move Zack some other room. Zack tried to talk them some sense, but after finding it impossible he surprise them by opening his cuff's. Then he took Wigs in a headlock and prevent Ra to shot him by using him as shield. Zack still tried to appeal to they comradeship, but after a brief hesitation, Ra, unable to resist the inhibitor chip pointing his blaster saying "good soldiers follow orders." and then shot Wigs by trying killing both. Zack trow Wigs body and then grad a blaster on the floor and shoot Ra. After seeing his friend lying dead against the wall, Zack shouted angrily that he warned about this, and then he head to search Ahsoka.

Later Maul destroyed the Tribunal's hyperdrive, making it crashed on the surface of the moon, killing all onboard. Only Maul, Ahsoka, Zack and Rex survived. In the aftermath, Ra was one the clone who were buried.
