Episode 17.Okay. This one had to be deliberate on the part of RT.
And You bet your ass I checked exactly how my time is between those two scenes ;D

I've been meaning to draw this gag for a while, but never got around to it...Now I have all these new watchers and I feel obligated to post something so HERE IS SOMETHING
It's been a while since I could just sit down and draw (more on that later) so this was part remembering how to not completely suck and part personal health treatment.

I know, right? There are so many little ties between the Unit stuff and the Freelancer stuff that go completely unnoticed. When I watched the season 9 commentary, and Burnie was talking about how the 'line' scene with CT and Wash was immediately echoed by Tucker in the Epsilon Unit, I couldn't believe that I'd never noticed that before
My favorite part, by far, is the Andersmith part. The way that Andersmith was analogous to Alpha, which made EpsiChurch analogous to the Director and Caboose analogous to Wash. Which tied back to the joke in Reconstruction where Caboose tells Wash they have a lot in common.
It's shit like this, Roosterteeth...

Yeah, Andersmith was created by EpsiChurch as an excuse to keep Tex around, and it didn't matter to EpsiChurch that Andersmith was 'killed' because he was "never alive to begin with," much like how the Director justifies the torture of Alpha in order to get the fragments.
The analogy kinda falls apart with Tucker, but yeah he's probably supposed to be the Counselor or something XD

Oooooh wow, you're right. It's all about Tex. I read this great fanfic the other day that had a line about "[Someone] didn't tell Church not to, and that was all that any of his iterations ever needed." I'm becoming more and more fascinated by the Director, and by extension how his traits ended up in the Alpha/Blood Gulch Church's personality. I'm still reeling from season 6 Church's inability to lie.
Well, Tucker does know a lot.

The Director is such an intriguing character, I'm so excited to see him in season 10. The fact that all the fragments share little snippets of his personality will be interesting to watch unfold, especially his reactions to each of them. Can you imagine? Meeting your own rage? Or logic? Or creativity? Even if he acts aloof and indifferent, the man has to be curious about them on some level.
Then there's Alpha, who is defined by what isn't there anymore. The traits that were too strong are what's left, right? Like, Church is angry despite omega being the rage, but the anger is just less focused now?
Hahaha, me too! And I had to give RT the slow-clap when Director's lack of military experience translated to Church being a terrible shot.
