4. Okay, this is something that's been bothering me. I did not like the Tex in Revelation. Compared to the Tex from seasons 1-5, this chick is an irrational, raving, lunatic. Her motives never warrant her actions. She's completely over-the-top, and I just can't take her as seriously as I'm afraid RT want me to. I hope the RT guys made Revelation Tex a caricature on purpose, and that the Tex in Season 9 is more like her original self.

#4: Perhaps it's a side effect of being created. In season 8, she'd just been brought back as a memory of Epsilon, in season 9, and early 10, she's new to life in general. Maybe she doesn't have herself figured out yet, or it's something to do with not having proper emotions. If you think about it, in the flashbacks and season 8, she's basically a newborn. Babies are irritating and mean.

I think honestly Tex was a bitch. But now that I think about it, so was she in season 9 in Freelancer. Seriously... Who rubs it in your face AFTER seeing them smash into a concrete barrier and obviously at the least have cracked ribs. (Carolina was very lucky she didn't break her back, armor or no armor.) And just say something like: "HAHAHAHA!!! I'M BETTER THAN YOU, BITCH!!!" Before walking away...? WITH THE OBJECTIVE THAT THE PERSON INJURED FOUGHT SO HARD FOR WITH THE CREDIT?! Seriously. Tex in season 9 flashbacks, except once when she saved York from a grenade, was a bitch.
But the Tex in season 9 in the memory unit was a lot like the Tex in Season 1-5. Yes, she still mentioned the fact that she was brought back and resented it, but she also seemed to chill out more. She seemed to enjoy herself and relax more. I think now a lot more time has passed than we think and it was another reiteration. So Tex had time to stew over what happened and started to slowly change. She no longer became a bitch and more like the Tex in 1-5, funny, relaxing, and still can kick your ass across the planet when she feels like it. At the end, I honestly think she was happy where she was and found her center.
I think over time both Tex's changed to become a more relaxed overall less psychotic person. Maybe it was Blood Gulch, maybe it was something else.

I enjoyed Revelation Tex but you bring up a good point. She seemed too much of a bully in episode 10 and so trigger happy the moment they arrive in Avalanche. She kept calling Church emo, but really, look who's talking

No offense at all intended, but from what I can recall of revelations that actually isn't the same tex. The original tex is a memory that came when the director had an A.I. made from his mind, Alpha. The tex in revelations was a memory from Epsilon. Secondly, think of it like this. How rational would you be if you were killed and brought back to life not once but twice, and the second time around you didn't even have the knowledge of why or how it happened? Epsilon-Tex has epsilon's memories, and he never remembered being the director.

Hmm got thinking about Tex and I came up with something.
The Tex from Blood Gulch had years to develop and round her personality from what the director remembered of her. The Tex that Epsilon-Church woke up was literally just what the Director remembered of her, misremebered flaws and all which would explain her caricatureish nature in Revelation. Maybe. Any way that's what I came up with.

Yeah, it's taken me a while, but that's a similar to the conclusion I've come to. Tex in season 8 WAS a caricature, and now in season 9 she's beginning to regain some of the humanity that Blood Gulch Tex had. Which is very encouraging.
I suppose I just didn't give RT enough credit. But the fact that Tex lost all reasonable personality at the same time they could animate her kicking ass was just too coincidental for me to be comfortable with.

in response to your 4. you have to remember that Caboose informed Epsilon on all the characters, including Agent Texas. As we all know, Caboose saw Tex as a fearful bad ass who would really deliver a beating. As for the moodiness, if I'm not mistaken Tucker and Church may have referred to her as a moody bitch in the Blood Gulch Chronicles so Caboose probably picked up on that and filled Epsilon in. Then when Epsilon-Church brought Tex back, she was only a byproduct from Epsilon-Church after he regained consciousness as being Church, or Alpha, thus resulting in the shadow images he saw as Tex. Which then he proceeded to bring Tex back after his arrival at the facility and giving creation to the Epsilon-Tex based off memories told to Epsilon by Caboose and his interpretation on everyone.

Yeah, I think that's the conclusion I'm leaning towards; this New Tex doesn't act like Original Tex because she isn't Original Tex, but a caricature of her based off of Caboose's stories.
What I'm worried about is that RT will try to recharacterize Original Tex, making her more like this New Tex because New Tex is more 'badass,' despite the fact that she acts nothing like the character they already established in seasons 1-5. I also hope that New Tex doesn't become canon, because I liked Original Tex better.

At least in Season 9 things kind of seem to be getting back to normal, so maybe we'll get to see some of that old Tex we all know and love. But then it looks like that the newer one will still be there in the "Before Project Freelance" times based on the previews (i think i was her though.) This is definitely something that everyone can't wait to see; how Tex will turn out... also just to see her again.
And i get what you're saying and unfortunately there is a chance that they may actually try to re-characterize the original because remember that it was Epsi-Tex he's trying to find that went into the unit. But maybe she won't remember much and her memory got reset or something along those lines. One can only hope

Plus you also have to think for her extreme aggressiveness she said that the last time she was in the facility she was trying to get out and probably remembered everything that happened last time with them trying to annihilate her to get rid of the Omega AI.

Thank youuuu <3 I really liked how positive the relationship between York and Delta was. It seems like everyone else treats AI like either a threat or a commodity, and those two really showed us what good friends a construct and a soldier can become
Yeah, she was just so over-the-top in everything she did. I hope that she gets scaled back a bit in future seasons o.o;;
