4. Okay, this is something that's been bothering me. I did not like the Tex in Revelation. Compared to the Tex from seasons 1-5, this chick is an irrational, raving, lunatic. Her motives never warrant her actions. She's completely over-the-top, and I just can't take her as seriously as I'm afraid RT want me to. I hope the RT guys made Revelation Tex a caricature on purpose, and that the Tex in Season 9 is more like her original self.
Tex fans, do you agree? Disagree? Let's talk : )

Well, I suppose of the slot wasn't occupied, it wouldn't be active and thus wouldn't affect the person? If you have a TV that's turned off, and you expose it to an EMP, it's still going to appear off. Only when you try to turn the TV on will you realize there's a problem. The EMP probably messed up the slots to where they can no longer accept AI anymore. BUT WHO KNOWS?!
Ohman I know. That's why I am SO EXCITED for season 9. FINALLY, SOME ANSWERS MAYBE XD;

I'll never be able to pinpoint the exact source, but the "word of god" (ie: Burnie Burns) I've heard around the block is that Alpha did indeed perish in the EMP--which makes me sadface, too. Epsilon was never quite right as a replacement, although one suspects that's intended, as a symptom of not having all his memories together.
(Having watched the season 9 premiere at RTX, all I can safely tell you is that if you're a Church fangirl, you're gonna love it. He's definitely more reminiscent of Alpha than Epsilon, there.)

Oh my, RTX was definitely a blast. And *unless* the cast was completely joking on that panel, the season's gonna start on June 14--a.k.a, Flag Day. XD

Gads, it's so hard not to spoil stuff. I don't really think this is a spoiler, though, since it was mentioned first on the RT blog, but it appears the season is going to be split 50/50 between the prequel-y action-packed Freelancer stuff and the pure machinima segments, which take place following Revelation. And since they're filming in Reach for the latter, you can assume that the setting and characters are going to be......

Also, I do agree with you about Tex being a total bitch. I mean, she was badass before in the Blood Gulch series, but in the Revelation she's just bitching in and out. Though I personally would like to think that they made it so on purpose because she was based from Epsilon's memories of her, which is based on Caboose... And we all know that always goes perfectly.

Uhm. I think that's supposed to be Carolina he's referencing. When Tex talks to Church about York afterwards, the immediate question was "Was Carolina with him?" and Tex replied "she was already dead when I got there," reiterating what York told her.
All we know about Carolina was that she had 2 AI implanted at the same time, and Delta remarked that "she only functioned for a short time, and not very well while she did"
Other than that, she's a mystery.
That's another thing I hope they cover in season 9 XD

On a more serious note, I don't think the Revelation Tex was meant to be the same as the Tex in seasons 1-5. I mean, we didn't even have the same Church as before, the one we got was just a memory. So was Tex. Therefore, neither of them behaved quite the same.
I still agree with Sister though.

Do you think they'll ever bring back Original Church and Tex in a not prequel sort of way? It's a big stretch, but I really hope they do :[
