This reminds me of the fanfic, 'Simply Rarity.'
That made me actually like her, because I'm not afraid to admit that I really hated her before reading it.
Good job

Has a Simply Rarity vibe to it, given the initial assumption of Rarity's supposed self, and the revelation of her authentically caring and giving nature. The first page suggested the endgame to show how she's actually the opposite of her element, but the authentic remorse over Rainbow's irritation about the loan repayment filled me in on her "business" being most-likely charitable. My only complaint is that the end-game, if you will, is quite cliche. Plenty of people have taken the "fund an orphanage and read to parentless children (foals)" route before. It would've been nice for you to have chosen something a bit more unexpected, and I guess therefore more touching, such as helping to fund regular cancer treatments for a local she knows can't afford it, but this still communicates the message well.
Good job all in all.

This really brings to light a lot of real-life situations. We must not assume why people suddenly push for repayment, or why they ask you to spare some money. Their motives are likely purer than you expect. Just ask.
Great comic! Very emotional ending.

This is indeed adorable for her. And something I can imagine her doing.
The only thing I can't imagine is Ponyville having an orphanage, it just strikes not as that kind of town (to small). But yeah, wonderful ending. I expected it to be something like buying Sweetie her birthday present, but this is even better.
