Well yeah but I actually dislike alicorn twilight, it has nothing to do with this though xD I just think the season finale was freaking terrible, but thats just me. In any way whether you love it or hate it thats up to you, this fandome is all about tolerance (At least it used to be)

Fair enough but i am still bout the tolerance though. and i would like to see where they might ACTUALLY go with Alicorn twilight, see characterization build up, instead of a lame-ass getting rid of it. i mean hell even the writers said they thought of the finale as part 1.
so i am willing to wait and see before completely judging alicorn twilight.

This is a really awesome beginning to an intriguing story. The way you draw expressions and use the space you have is fantastic in all the stories you do, and the ideas themselves stand out. Great job!

Probably, but it's just a step one in her powerboosting. When power of a single alicron is not enough, power that equals at least two alicorns is a good start.
Though I think that instead of trying to make her friends immortal, she should focus on making herself a mortal alicorn. I mean, to grant someone immortality would require improving one's body beyond its natural capabilities for, like, eternity? I'd expect that taking one's already enhanced capabilities and lowering them would be easier.
Besides, her immortal friends would also have close ones they wouldn't want to lose, those close ones would have theirs... and so on, so just making herself mortal does seem like the better option, through and through.

I would imagine it's one of those enchantments like in D&D. Lets say you have Gauntlets of Ogre Power but your Strength is already 18/00. Equipping those isn't gonna double that score...and if you have 19 STR it would actually be counter productive to equip.
Then again,I wouldn't go quite as far as too make everyone become immortal if I was Twi. I'd use my own alicorn life span then fuse it within everyone else into ponyville, at least those that I liked...screw those that did me wrong, thus reducing my own life into mortal years but still substantial, like 300-500 years...about the life span of a dwarf, thus everyone (almost) is happy! P:
That or take over the world...what ever comes first...

Speaking of which, Granny Smith already lived a few hundred years, who knows how long the Ponies actually live.
Also, depending on exactly how the immortality effect is achieved, it could be impossible to reduce your life-span. How would you divide infinity, immortality could be pretty much the same thing.
My favourite theory on alicorn immortality is, that the alicorn body goes through the same cycle of growing up, maturing and then growing old. The difference is that the amount of magic they wield keeps them alive, rejuvenating their body faster than it can wither away. However that probably won't be the case in this comic, because that would be easily manageable condition depending on how and how much the alicron would use magic.

I would say these first two parts are a FANTASTIC start to a super intriguing new series. The only flaw I can notice is in Spike's dialogue, where he doesn't seem QUITE right--the sentiments and meaning of his lines are fine, but the wording is slightly off from how he might actually word them.
But that's a very minor flaw in what is otherwise quite solid and exciting. I look forward to more.

This is very promising, but I hope it will not be a weaker story where Twi goes crazy & stuff and then realizes he shouldn't have done that (after a lot of screaming & shouting).

Considering, that Twilight does this for her friendship, the thing she is supposed to value the highest and not for any personal gain I kind of hope, that she has success with her planes. Even if it gets a little dark.
