I havent done a comedy strip in a while, and i've had this one in mind for a while now. Glad I finally did it and I love how it turned out. Hope you guys like it too!
Also on my sketchpad i have the first page of Element of Laughter sketched already!

For being powerful and wise, Celestia and Luna sure are terrible in the whole "saving the world" departament.
Equestria need a princess who for a change can keep it safe by being on frontline rather then on sidelines.

Well, okay, but that's another that I want to talk about.Β How exactly does Celestia have a Nephew?Β Luna was her only sibling (and he resembles Celestia too much anyway), so what exactly did Tia do to get a nephew?

Actually, in certain countries is not uncommon to informaly "adopt" somebody out of the family line as a "nephew", when you have a very close relationship with his parents. For example, in "How I meet your mother", Ted' sons refer to Robin, Marshall, Lily and Barney as "uncles". I thinkΒ Blueblood is simply an "adopted" nephew of Celestia, son of a high-standing unicorn family close to Celestia. ItΒ΄s clear he is not Luna's son; it`s impossible. In any case, he can be the last descendant of a veeeeeeery long and ancient family line, originated by Luna or by another not immortal brother or sister of Celestia, and for practical matters, Celestia refers to him as "nephew".

weirder yet is that blueblood is younger than a thousand years old, and older than the time since luna's return, so it cant be hers.

Its the only way this makes sense.

I dont think that Blueblood is Celestia nephew . There could be many other prince or princesses rule their land in equestria but Celestia is still the highest ruler . And Blueblood may be just one of them .

I think Inkrose described it in a video, that Princess Celestia and Luna were born alicorns (according to Lauren Faust) and are "Natural alicorns", while Twilight and Cadence were transformed into alicornsΒ and areΒ "Artificial alicorns"Β (in the novel Twilight and the crystal heart spell it says Cadence was born a pegasus).

Twilight did grow about half a hand when she gained her wings. Β Her model also changed ever so slightly as well. Β You'll notice the curve of her neck from her chest to her cheek is deeper now.

Twilight infers that Scootaloo is about eight hands high, meaning the adult ponies range from 12 to 14 hands, which is the maximum average height a horse breed can be in order to qualify as a pony (Big Mac may be slightly over 14 hh, but that makes him an exception, not the norm, meaning he is still a pony). Β Which means that Celestia and Luna, both said to have been born alicorns, are not ponies. Β Celestia is even a hand higher than Arabian horses, who stand at an average of 15.4 hands. Β So while Twilight qualifies as a pony even after her promotion to alicorn due to the fact that she is technically the same breed, but simply an outlier for height (and she's not even over 14 hh at this point), Celestia and Luna do not, since their species seems to naturally exceed 14 hh.
Of course, all this begs the question of why horses over 14 hh don't get cutie marks unless they're immortal alicorn princesses.
