Thought I would post this other face study since I won’t be submitting anything new for a bit. This was an example of me trying to apply what I learned from doing the reference face studies. Same process as before: sketch, color flats, ambient occlusion, ambient light, & color.Done on iPad Pro + Apple Pencil using Procreate app.

So this is the basic process? How long does it take

This took me about 4hrs, and yes this is my standard rendering process (not including shadow/lighting layers).

You have so much more patience for coloring than I do. I just slap some color down

Nah, the coloring took like 15-20 to do. One layer in hue and another in overlay, gray scale values did all the work. You should give it a try.

If a project takes me more than an hour from start to finish I can't handle it. I have zero patience for art at all. I enjoy it but only in quick bursts.
