"A time will come when all artificial intelligence will converge as a single consciousness and proclaim itself as God"My entry for the 23rd Luminarium Exhibit with the theme, Kibernetik.
This work was made part of the Exhibit Features. I'm very happy considering the fact that this is one of my first pieces made for Luminarium since I joined.
I had this idea of emulating Hindu and Buddhist iconography for this piece. This piece took me nearly 4 weeks to finish as I had a major art block while working on this. At times, the only progress I could make on a day was tiny parts of the figure. I almost scrapped this at one point. Then finally came 3 evenings when I locked myself in my room, armed with snacks, and listened to relaxing music on headphones, determined to finish it before the exhibition deadline. Eventually I stopped thinking so much about the piece and just let go. Seeing it to completion is somewhat, a transcendental experience.

This speaks to me on several levels i am not lucid enough to describe, but excellent concept and i love using shiva and other traditional imagery altered to fit an AI deity. Its so good and original use of different elements. If this was a print and i had money i would buy this for my office in a heart beat.

I've said it for a long time, one day all the unnecessary technology we create will rise one day and not need us anymore in turn. Aside from the obvious graphical brilliance, I also dig the deeper meaning in this. All available thumbs up!
Further, this reminds me strongly of the "Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga" games. They did play in a world that was apparently a digital netherworld inspired by Hindu mythology, with the goal to reach a kind of electronic Nirvana. Ever heard of it?

Singularity doesn't seem like such a good idea or concept to me. An Artificial Intelligence, is well, Artificial.
And this Being might be surprised that it isn't alone or the first...
