Description
"Would you care for a jelly baby, try one they're rather good?"Filled with wanderlust and a renewed curiosity towards exploring time and space, the Fourth Doctor left all ties of his previous incarnation's exile behind on Earth, setting off to travel the Cosmos.
He used jelly babies to win people over and take their mind off things. His favoured choice were the orange coloured jelly babies.
He would often ask others if they were listening to him and often told K9 to "shut up". He talked to himself as no one knew what he was on about and played with a yo-yo to relax. He started the trend of talking to the TARDIS kissing and showing it affection. A piccolo player, ginger beer drinker, highly skilled swordsman, telepath, master hypnotist, excellent at runner and fighter. "All teeth and curls," With his great height, the Fourth Doctor was notable for having large, expressive blue eyes, a large hooked nose, a round chin, bright white teeth and a large head of wild curly brown hair. An unkempt, bohemian-looking figure, with his most distinctive item of clothing an extremely long, multi coloured scarf which had originally been knitted for him by Madame Nostradamus. Age 743-813.
K9 Mark 1 is a robot dog given to the Doctor by Professor Marius in the year 5000, a useful companion for the powerful laser weapon concealed in his nose, his encyclopedic knowledge and his vast computer intelligence.Β

The Doctor I grew up with, he'll always be one of my favourites! I even had a long multi-coloured scarf at one stage which my mother knitted me, actually she'd knitted one for both me and my brother.

I too grew up with this doctor he really seems to be a benchmark for others to follow even the master copies him with a bag of jelly babies. You can buy his scarf off ebay for 5-10 dollars. Β

Better that K9 comes back to Doctor Who rather than doing spin-offs.Β The Thirteenth Doctor that's all the regenerations up, they better make it one hell of a series.

That's not all. In "Time of the Doctor" The Timelords gave him a whole new cycle. Peter Capaldi was just the first of that cycle. There's plenty more to come.

I had seen that episode before though after watching Doctor Who The Complete Seventh Series I forgot about it as it's not on that set of blue rays. Rewatched The Time of The Doctor yesterday the fracture in time and Clara pleading for the timelords to help him. It is good that it does keep going, what would the world be like without the Doctor.

For a short while between TOS and the TV movie with Paul McGan, we had a chance to find out. I've managed to see at least one episode (story) for every Doctor. It's really interesting how much the character has stayed the sameΒ in spite of all the different actors that have played him/her.

In Australia Doctor who is on most of the year round on a channel like the BBC the ABC though a lot of it is not in the right order. For Christmas, I was given the complete series of seven, eight and nine which lead me to buy Doctor Who Revisitations 1, The Face Of Evil and today SHADA. It's interesting to see how you remember things and how they compare to today's times. Β

Well, I don't know which version of SHADA you received, Because the program was never finished due to a strike. There have been versions pieced together over the years with dialogue cards, even animation where they've tried to go back and finish it.
Β Here in the States, it was originally presented by the Public Broadcasting Stations every afternoon.

Industrial strikes, gaffers striking and being locked out of the studio. It's the 2017 version where they have animated the bits that weren't filmed still with Tom Baker doing his voice. It's actually pretty good and k9 is in it.

I don't know if she does the voice in the animated bits as I haven't watched all the special features yet. Tom Baker was married to the actress Lalla Ward who plays her for two years so they may not be on speaking terms.?
