Did you ever find the answer sweeteashroom ? Or is the any one who might be able to help me? The same thing happened to me which happened to the comment below. There are only the original textures there; I followed this step by step.

i wonder if i missed something. maybe sth abt the papertex.conf??
EDIT: guys i got it.
1. the papertex.conf that was provided in the zip file you downloaded, open it on NotePad.
2. copy the new ones that you copy pasted earlier of the bmp files (so, exclude Canvas, Paper, Watercolor A and Watercolor B)
3. open your papertex.conf on your existing SAI folder ("open folder location" from before) and paste them there.
TIP: you can rearrange them if you want!
4. SAVE ITT
5. launch SAI and there you have it!
The same goes to brushtex.conf if youre adding new brushes

everything wokred for me till the very end;; when i launch sai, the textures are the same as before. do i have to wait for sai to catch up or...?
