Hopefully this'll help clear things up a little bit? If not I'm sorry I failed xD Anyway this is just a sort of tutorial about some things involving SAI brushes.Slightly large image warning maybe?

I can install brushes and everything, but for some reason I can't make them... Can anyone help? I use black for the pattern and it should work when I draw with it (I made it for stars) but it just doesn't work... I'm trying to make a blotmap, and I know that what I'm doing wrong is up with the blotmap itself and not the way I'm doing it.
P.S the blotmap is a bmp and everything, and I know to restart sai and stuff so I really don't know what i'm doing wrong with the blotmap...

I cant get Start sai to work, it pops up the error message Cant run sai.exe(Createprocess failed with error 2)

When you get that, open file to Notepad then do what is instructed. Making it Notepad will not damage your system or Sai.

For people who are using SAI 1.1, start-sai.exe wouldn't work. So I looked around and found this:

It's a little troublesome, but it works. Basically, after you've put the textures in the right folders, you still need to tell SAI to recognise them as textures. That's done by adding a new entry into the conf file that corresponds to each new texture added. I think start-sai.exe is just a piece of code that does all this work for you, after which calls sai.exe. A pity I'm not savy enough with code or I'll write one myself for version 1.1Β

This is really helpful. I haven't tried downloading any textures or brushes, but the instructions I've seen for doing so were waaaay complicated and didn't explain what each folder was for like you did.

When I try to add some lines for new brushes on the brushform.conf, and put save it keeps me appearing "Access Denied". I don't have PaintTool Sai open so what could be the problem??

I've pasted all the things I downloaded from you into blotmap, then started start-sai.exe, and they weren't there. Maybe I missed a step? A bunch of errors popped up when I tried opening start-sai.exe and I just clicked what I assumed were the best options, so maybe that's where I messed up?

how can u make the edges of your brush's line thinier (or pointier) than in the middle of the line?
