Just like the Lion Paw Tutorial except for wolves!
There's not much to say here. Slight differences in the two animals' paws that I've stated above. I hope this helps

"A better way" as in an updated version? If so, then no I don't have an updated version of this. But until I make one, the only way I can help out is if you look at real pictures of wolf paws and use those as reference. Nothing helps better than using actual pictures of whatever you wanna draw as reference c:

are the paws the same on the hind legs? or slightly different?

They're slightly different, this was made for the front paws. If you look at a picture of a wolf, look at their back legs for the structure of it. Otherwise the toes are the same :3

It's basically like the 3/4 view, except you only see two of the toes

You can add claws. This is just how I draw them in my style, so if you want claws, all you have to do is add them ^^
