Description
A tattoo design for Isil of her eastern dragon character Sternenlicht in non-anthro form. The tattoo is meant to be a wraparound style (for the leg)... And, its my first time designing a tattoo. ^.^Done with micron inks and mechanical pencil for the shading, on 4"x15" illustration board.

I'm an amateur when it comes to tat designs, but this is pretty darn good! Two thumbs up!

Great Work
YΒ΄know whatΒ΄s funny?
We Germans try to name our characters in English "because it sounds cooler". Well, it seems others tend to think the other wayΒ΄round. ^^
German: Sternenlicht = English: Starlight

Pretty, very pretty, with a very unusual face for ... any dragon actually. I was just going to say eastern, but when it comes down to it I don't think I've seen a dragon with that facial structure anywhere. However, she looks very well done, and all the little details, including the face, are perfect. Going to be a painful tat, but once done she'll have something easily unique, and be very proud for it.

That'd be a very cool wraparound, especially with the hair-like scales that line her back. ^_^

Awesome Kacey, yes "Sternenlicht" is German and stands for "Star Light".

Sternenlicht means "Star Light," does it not?

I'll have to show this to my friend, Carrie. She really loves dragons. This was done wonderfully.

Very nicely done.
Wrap around tattoos often have a slight distortion in them due to the fact that they are,
well,
wrapped around something.
Does this design take that into effect?

Hmm - no, it doesnt... I didn't even think about that. Now that you mention it though, that will probably be a hurdle for the tattoo artist to overcome.
