Description I decided to finally open up Inkscape for something else than framing my fractals and do some drawing like I used to do with pen & paper, just switching to vectorial graphics... starting simple but I like the design and 'balance' of this one.

Inkscape.

Very nice pattern. Hmmm, maybe I should open Inkscape and find out how much I have to relearn. *scary thought*

Thank you!
That's a lot scarier than what you can think about it (no really, when I saw all I could do, and thought I'll have to learn all the keyboard shortcuts... I know I'll try again but I'm a bit afraid to )

Keyboard shortcuts - nooooo! I'll take the long way around, thanks. I had purchased two manuals - the expanded help text from Tavmjong Bah and another by Dmitry Kirsanov. The pair together helped so much and I appreciate not having to jump around on screen looking for info. Time to put them back on the nightstand. I know it won't be as bad as the first time around. Except if there's been a new release since 0.47 - hate it (temporary) when things get re-arranged.

You should open up Inkscape more often!

Beautiful work. I love the Celtic designs. Some of my favourites are from The Book of Kells, which is a great inspiration for those exploring this type of image.....

This is a wonderful site, and contains examples of images from other medieval manuscripts as well.

Thank you, and thank you for the link!
I own many books about celtic art and one especially about the book of Kells studying both the ornaments and calligraphy (I do some calligraphy too ), a great source and an incredible art piece more than a book.
