Description Looking close, it do not look like a flower at all... and the 'grain' seem to be related to the fractal, it is still there whatever the quality (flam3 render). but I like it, it make a less mathematical image.

Raw Apophysis flame . Inkscape for frame and text.

It is indeed a beautiful flame. I also prefer flames that appear to be organic rather than mathematical.

Apophysis flame indeed ^^ Sorry xD I just thought it actually looked like a flame too... it's like a painting.

Good image, very attractive. The current title doesn't really work I think, though.

I very much like the design of this piece, as I said in my previous journal, I'm a fan of this style (probably one of only two of the new Apophysis ones). The grain does bother me, I'm not going to lie, but I think that there are some renders that you just can't overcome it. But, good job on the design, and the colors, especially in the middle part.

This is fantastic! It looks like you started out with the plastic script, but have created something like I've never seen before, out of it. It's outstanding!

Any chance you'd be willing to share your parameters?

The grain, blur, design and colour all work beautifully together to make a wonderful image. Excellent!

What? This was rendered with Apo??
How did you receive this effect?

Kaeltyk In reply to Ab1lity [2007-06-29 08:09:52 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for the !
It came after a lot of tweaking of some 'gnarly' Apo fractal, that I discovered using the L-1 flame from this pack . Check this, it's really nice.

The liquid-like effect is amazing; it's hard to believe this is an Apophysis fractal! Very nice, the colors are excellent too. :]

Thank you ! It's an 'Extreme' fractal, playing with some parameters that are so sensible that I must zoom in to make tweaks or adjust parameters by 1/1000th

thank you very much ! Apophysis is able of a lot of things, some I don't even imagine until I find them ! (and some I see here in other's galleries and not able to reproduce )

Thank you ! Inkscape is a freeware vectorial software, using svg format, it make it easy to frame an image using a copy of an existing file. Fast and efficient if you use the same sizes often (note me if you want more details)

I've been using Apophysis for 1 year now, and I did spend my 3-4 first months just generating random batches, tweaking the colors, and mutating them. Then I started to study a bit more what was each parameter for, and now I'm not even able to predict what I'll get, but at least some parameters I know how to use. It's a pretty chaotic way to learn for a chaotic program , but I don't think you can master it easily.
