Oof. Apollo[n], Greek god of light, prophecy and healing... dodger of being drawn by me.

I've been chasing Apollo for a couple of years, filling sketchbook pages with vague scribbles and details of individual features, and made a couple of disastrous attempts at painting him.

I've even been hanging around the laurel tree (a tree declared sacred to Apollo) in our garden, hoping inspiration would strike

I didn't quite feel the other sketch I did was close enough to how I imagine him to look, but eventually I came to this one, which is much more like the image I had in mind.
