A commission for , in which Tange and Lex pose for a photo with Mr. Archteryx himself. It's a veritable carousel of colors, though I fear Tange turned out a little thin. Maybe she's on her summer molt or something...<3

Bird anthros are few and far between, so seeing them here is a very good thing. I love how well done they are, and the group dynamic really adds to it. Pretty good that Arch managed to reduce his height. Makes things a lot easier.

Arch's normal height is about 4 meters -- a bit more then 12 feet. But his bloodmate is a mage, and thus, when getting around "human-sized" people, he'll reduce his size to fit in.
(I also figure it'd make it far more symmetrical / easy to draw)

I will always adore Tange and Lex - a pair of characters just so remarkably creative in all their simplicity! Plus, they're birdies. I do adore my birdies X3
I also love the groupie-ness of this pic. Like someone popped up with a camera and they're all just so relaxed and there when it was taken. Also, feathers. One of the elusive sections of the art world I have yet to master. Such adorableness right here!
Also...I would bitchslap someone like Shiva for Tange's dress style. That's just wicked awesome and I wish I myself was the right weight irl to get away with it X3!

It's kind of funny you said that. The intent of the picture was *exactly* that -- a group photo after a nice day together.
Arch (and his pet human) loves to show friends and family a good time, and Lex and Tange are generally very nice people, so he'd do his damn best to make them forget their troubles and stresses for a day.

The interesting thing is that Arch's "native" size is actually 12+ feet. But with a little magical aid, he can reduce down to normal human size so as not to cause too many problems.
