Ever since I decided to make my fursona a fox, Tails has gotten a lot cuter, especially after I drew this!!! I wanted to draw Tails as a teenager (sooooo original haha) but then I ended drawing Sonic not being about to cope with the fact that Tails ain't a little kid anymore. Notice, if Tails stood up straight he'd pretty much be the same height as Sonic... not counting the quills cause that's cheating XDRelated content

... I'd guess that, if Tails was the same size as Sonic, he'd actually be faster, considering that he's smaller now, and just as fast.

Haha thanks! ^_^ I've kind of moved away from the really tall style, though I still draw characters a bit taller than normal. But I still really like Tails in that old style - like in my other work [link]

I've noticed you've adopted a 'tall' style of drawing sonic characters, as opposed to the 'super-deformed' style of the games. was this intentional, or did you, like me find that when you tried to do SD you ended up falling into 'realistic' (I use the word lighlty lest someone critizice my anatomy) proportions by default?
I have a friend who is four years youngers than me, yet even though he is sixteen, i still treat him like a little kid, so i can totally relate to this picture!

Thank you! This is actually a really old style of mine. My style has changed since the spring - it just was...off... somehow, and I was a very new to the Sonic art scene. I still tend to draw the characters taller than how they officially appear, but not quite as anthro as in this pic. I guess because - like you said - it just looks better to me. But if you look at some of my newer art, you'll see that it has evolved - and is still evolving! ^^

A concept of friendship that's beautifully portrayed. I love how you expressed the adulthood/teenager aspect in Sonic and Tails yet maintain the same and unbroken trust and friendship they have together... = )

This picture... It reminds me critically how I feel right now... How I feel about my relationship is with my girlfriend and what it truly is... *smiles softly...*
