In the next Monsterverse, I hope that its another King Kong movie (rumors says it is and its called Son of Kong) taking place in the Hollow Earth since there's so much potential that Godzilla VS Kong had set up. I think they should bring Gorosaurus as the main monster antagonist because Its tradition that Kong, now King Kong of the Hollow Earth, fight giant reptiles & dinosaurs. Hopefully he does his famous fatality by breaking another creature's jaws because he only rips out innards and heads off in the 2 Monsterverse movies he appeared in.
You may notice that Kong has his battle axe. Sure, he can't have it powered up since his ancestors temple is destroyed and Godzilla is up on the surface but it can still be used to chop down enemies. It didn't work on Mechagodzilla because he was metal, everything else not metal can be chopped, most likely flesh and armored skin too. Does make wonder what happened to the axe, did Kong just leave it on the surface or he took it back with him to the Hollow Earth.
