So there's this new Transformers card game that was released recently. My friends are all getting into it. I played a test game with my pal and got to play the Dinobots. Sludge here was invaluable during the match, absorbing damage for the team so the other dinobots could focus on ripping apart the enemy. I won the match and decided to celebrate everyone's favorite stomping robot with some fan art! I love how even in the modern comics Sludge is still a big palooka who throws his weight around. He was going to be tail swatting an Insecticon in the first draft but the enemy looked pretty awful so it got erased.Related content

Your art's always been good, but lately it seems to have gotten even better. There's a lot of great detail here, and I can definitely see the original toy's influence.

Thanks! It has been awhile since I've drawn any Transformers stuff and that's because they take a lot of planning around the inking process. His coloring is based off the latest toy design of him, where they upgraded the bodies but kept the older color patterns.
