Description So this is kind of the OPPOSITE of what happened with my KiryuGodzilla figure.  I knew going in that these were bootlegs when I got them, because after loving TMNT my whole life I wanted to get my hands on the movie star figures that I never got as a kid.  Welllllll the problem was that these guys go for insanely jacked prices these days, even loose out of box, but thanks to the 2014 reboot movie (and believe there's little I have to be thankful for with that film), some opportunistic people in China said, "Hey!  Here's an idea!  Let's bootleg TMNT toys from 20 years ago and sell them at the time the new movie comes out!  Stupid people will buy them off us thinking it's the new toys, and nostalgic fans who don't like the new movie will buy them off us to revel in childhood joy!"
I fall into the latter camp.
While these are cheaper made than the original toys from 1991, they're still pretty darn great for bootleg toys.  The paint is pretty solid, the weapons are COLORED (the originals were always brown or basic colors), and for $30 for the whole set (plus Splinter and a Foot Soldier, not pictured), they're a much more affordable option than trying to hunt down the originals which have been out of production now for two decades.  The only drawback is that they're not made of the rubbery vinyl of the original toys which was really neat, but hey who am I to be nitpicky, these are honestly really nice reproductions, and they're still all over Ebay from various Hong Kong sellers.
I fully endorse buying legit figures, naturally, of anything that's currently in production like the Nick Turtles, but if you don't feel like paying super bloated prices on toys that have been out of production for over 20 years, these are honestly not bad, especially if you're into customizing.

Thanks  I'm a little wary about ordering from China on ebay these days but it can be a cheap gamble most of the time.  I just love these particular figures, they're the essence of my childhood play time and having them on my work desk just feels like one big wave of warm gooey nostalgia, even if they are just knock offs.

One of Raphael's sai is upside down. Was that how he came?

No, the weapons are removable, I just positioned it that way to look different.

DHgate.com and Toysbaba.com are saturated with fakes...

With the Godzilla legs in the back you need a word balloon from Mikey saying, "He's right behind us, isn't he." Actually no, Leo's face fits it better.

XD  I knew somebody would have something hilarious to say about the Godzilla figure just standing there.  Thank you for not disappointing, and yeah, Leo's face is pretty amazing on this paint job.

These are pretty cool, they kinda look well done and similar to the first TMNT movie. BTW have you seen the new Nick TMNT? There almost done with their 3rd season.

I've kept up with it pretty well, at least with every new dvd release, and I've liked it a lot more than I ever expected to.  Some of the designs are kinda meh, but I've really liked the new takes on some of the turtles, it's nice to see old favorite characters in new context and honestly, even though it's absolutely silly I've grown rather fond of the AprilTello romance   It's just a fun show, and gets a lot of what we've liked about TMNT a lot better than other parties do.

Yeah, like the 2014 movie, which was silly.

They actually don't look too bad for bootlegs.  Used to have the originals for a long while.

I wish I knew what happened to all my old TMNT stuff, but I would have to suspect a parent was involved, just can't remember.  I don't mind hunting down some of my old favorites but the only problem tends to be the ones that appreciate in value over 25 years

Ha! Yup, I actually remember these toys. Maybe not exactly the Bootleg, but I remember the look of these toys on store shelves. I think I got one for my birthday; A Raph figure with some street clothing on
