I had a spare Venus figure from Ninja Turtles Next Mutation (yes, I know, don't say it, goofy ass show, but Venus was not the problem with it) and I needed something offbeat to do for a little one-shot project, so I decided to paint her up closer to the color scheme Playmates had originally planned when the show and the toyline were still in development, which are the old toy magazine scans you see on the right hand side there. At some point the development changed Venus from what was apparently meant to be a more traditionally girly color of pinkish to the soft cyan blue she became, and while I think the choice was a good one because it fits her, it is interesting to me what happens when going through toy history and seeing prototypes.
God only knows what became of these prototypes, but I thought it would be fun to have a mock-up of her in pink to put among my other Venus figs, because I still love Venus and no antagonistic fanboys are gonna nuke that for me
