Description
We at Kaijukid Comics are proud to announce a new One-Shot comic project that will be the combined efforts of some fresh new writing to our little staff and a new bar in our artistic quality standards. For those of you awesome people who have been following the Godzilla: Triumphant sketch comic that will continue as well, but we're also going to be working on this with a goal of fully COLORED pages at 1 a week. It will then be made available for a limited distribution for the 2015 G-Fest should it work out that we'll be there. No plot details yet except this.....3 generations of Godzilla in one story! We're looking forward to getting it done!

I was actually expecting 70s, 90, and 2000s godzilla but the the 2014s ok. I would have been angry if the 90s wasnt in this.

Thank ya much. Copies of this, no, it won't be done in time, but we do plan to distribute some at the 2015 Fest if we can make it next year. This year will just be a chillaxing Fest for the family, whooping it up for the big 6.0.

Ok, so I just had an interesting person decide to complain about the height differences on this picture, as if it mattered in the context of the story. They blocked me so soon as take my correction on the topic, but I'm going to take the opportunity to just say that the height equalization is an artistic choice, I don't want the Showa version to be half the height of the other two, and, frankly, I don't think it matters at all. Sorry if that upsets fanboy sensibilities, but it's my comic so I get to play around with this kind of stuff. Thanks

Alright, I'm going to attempt to make a comment that is not going to based completely on the fact that it is three Godzilla's together. Let's try for more of an....artistic point of view and discuss technical layouts and perspectives.
So, color wise, it looks really nice. Unfortunately there is not a lot that can be said because most of the panels are going to be in shades of grey and blue/white. And that is because of the action that is happening. Though, what I enjoy here is the fact that you really did some nice highlights and shadows on the Zillas. You really carried over each one of their different body textures. Really good work.
Computationally...again it is nice. It's a very basic 3,2,1 type of imagery. The panels are evenly spaced and almost the same size on each of their respective rows. But the single image is wisely not form fitted to a box. All the whites and blues are carried to the top of the page...making it feel like all the action of the "awakinging" and the woman's spell is actually dwarfed by the fact that three Gods have come together. It might not have been planned like that, but that is what I get from it. And if if not...just call it a happy accident.
Hopefully we get a Broly: Second Coming type of ending to this. Three kamehamehas took out that bad guy...I think joining three Godzilla beams could do the same here.

As usual your analysis is far deeper and more complimentary than is deserved on my part I tend to run off storyboards pretty quick from the script, so any well structured elements tends to be purely coincidental on my part, except for here and there where I know exactly how I want the panels to flow. And.....dangit Baragon
Just....dangit. That is all
Thanks man.

I try to be a little helpful. I think that it is the main different between people that go..."oh that's pretty art" and ones that actually go out and do it. Ones that do it more than just a "hobby". I've been in plenty of art classes....so I know how frustrating it can be about getting "actual" feedback. It's great that people like one's work..but it is so tiresome to hear the same thing over and over. Oh that looks good........oh I like that. That looks great!, Or this is getting better.
There is nothing to chew on there. It's a bone. There is nothing to help the artist. There is no details...no specifics. It's just generalization. And that gets bothersome when you keep putting quality work out, after quality work. So I try to show a little love and understanding. I try to be a bit more different than the average viewer. And I attribute that to my love of art and having my college degree in it lol.
Again though...there better be a triple energy beam DBZ attack from the Zillas

I'm kind of weird about feedback, honestly, sometimes I love it and sometimes I just never want it, even if it's positive. But I appreciate a serious artist who has done more than just look for things they like online get why it's nice for someone to look a little deeper under the surface. If anything you're probably over-generous in my case, but like I told my closest artistic confidante I think I'm Mozart to her Beethoven.....I just pump out volume while she agonizes over quality. I mean yeah I want my art to be top shelf so far as I can manage, but I know it would make a difference if each page of the new book took me the better part of a week instead of the usual 5 to 6 hours

Nah, I ain't over generous lol. You are good. And I think why so many folks like your stuff is because of the ideas that are behind it. Anyone can draw these monsters; to some extent I mean. But that is where it stops and begins. That is the fork in the road, so to speak.
Any artist can regurgitate a figure. They can draw out the character and slap it in front of a white backdrop and say done. Now, that line work and coloring could be the most balling work that has ever graced the internet. And yet....in the end, it's going to be dull...lifeless...and unimaginative. Its something that a thousand other artist could have done. It has no passion behind it.
And when I look at yours and other's works...I see that love and passion. I see the ideas behind it. The creativity and work. So, maybe that is what clouds my perception lol. Who knows. Fact is though, I like it. Sue me haha.
And yes that was a joke.

My only, minor, gripe is that the three Godzillas used here are different heights, but that's just a minor nitpick, so don't worry.
Comic is highly entertaining, in a good way.

Yeah, I made the conscious decision to equal out the heights, because obviously were they men in suits acting together they would have to be anyway, old school and all.
