Wait, so would Slattern be producing more electricity than lightning, or less?

vatarianart In reply to SethHM [2013-12-02 01:10:53 +0000 UTC]
So much more it isn't even funny. Regular ol' lightning crackles off of him whenever he so much as moves around very quickly. It can't be glimpsed very well in the movie, where its dark and they're underwater and any flares come off more as his bio-luminescence acting up.
But in the game, where there are maps with broad-daylight and a great deal more time to view him, he produces huge discharges of electricity whenever he does a powerful move or sprints.
His actual lightning attack is a beam of electricity nearly as big around as his head.
So like 90-180 bolts of lightning.
Maybe not enough to put down a kaiju of Godzilla's caliber, but it'd sure give him something to think about.

Godzilla could still manage him.
Slattern happens to be arrogant and a bit of a coward. Though he'd probably just call it "making a tactical retreat" or "advancing backwards".

Le shrug. Maybe so. All I'm trying to say is that the PR Kaiju wouldn't be pushovers for Gojira as most people seem to think.

Here is a cool idea. Mechagodzilla fighting Slattern or one of the other kaiju.

Well no offense but the data doesn't matter where fanart is involved unless the artist specifies the dimension.Β I'm sorry to be ragging about this but I'm kinda exhausted of hearing about how my scale is "off", because for the purpose of this drawing it truly doesn't matter.

As much as I love pacific rim, all the jaegers and kaiju get horribly owned. Slattern is the biggest one there and even then he only weighs 6,500 tons. Godzilla at the smallest has been 20,000 tons. Imagine an 8 year old attacking Mike Tyson for the weight difference. Even godzilla junior is heavier than slattern(15,000 tons).Slattern may be taller but it wont do him much good if godzilla could smash his skull with one hit

KaijuKid In reply to lazerbem [2013-07-21 06:19:43 +0000 UTC]
That's why I'm glad crossovers typically just ignore established rules of height Β makes things so much easier.
π: 0 β©: 1
lazerbem In reply to KaijuKid [2013-07-21 07:15:40 +0000 UTC]
Crossovers usually scale up the monsters that is true but will slattern be heavily or lightly built in weight? If he's lightly built I could see showa taking this due to martial arts and what not. If he's really bulky then it'll be up to the heavy hitters like gmk, hesei, and final showa godzilla. Gfw owns due to being goku in a dinosaurian body, meltdown's regeneration ensures a win,g2k's breath can stop a black hole and utterly vaporize something that survived orbital entry, and kiryu-goji's breath can send kiryu across the city

Godzilla seems like he could fit neatly in the pacific rim universe; he's a kaiju made by the aliens, but he broke free of their control due to their use of dinosaur DNA.

KaijuKid In reply to Transformerssentai [2013-07-21 06:20:43 +0000 UTC]
it's a good thought, if we'd gotten our wish and PR had crossed over with Legendary Godzilla that might have been a fun angle to tackle, other than Goji doesn't quite fit the alien design aesthetic that was established.

Say, is it too late to propose Otachi vs. Gappa: War of the Tri-phibians(C)? True, you might need both Mom & Pop to give this particular Cat-4 a proper challenge, but...
...anyhow: once again, these guys demonstrate your impressive eye for spiny, scaly texture-truth be told, I'm not always sold on lending Godzilla extra dermal pricklies aside from the dorsal row(s), but it works here.
Funny thing is, there's one G-incarnation who could look Slatts here in the eye, even up on two feet: 25.media.tumblr.com/9196a3bc1f...

Yeah, a fellow deviant ( kreaturez.deviantart.com/ ) worked out that little scaling chart, and based Marvel-Goji's height off a comparison to Seattle's Space Needle in issue 3. As for the rest...Slatts may have survived a moderate-yield nuke (albeit in none too fantastic shape), but he did take quite the shivving from Striker Eureka, and wind up finally succumbing to a couple seconds of G.D.'s point-blank reactor-venting. Scale gap or not, Final Wars' insanely brutal Goji could probably knock him for a solid loop.
And I take it you refer to a couple pieces like cheungchungtat.deviantart.com/... here? Gotta second you there...I'm partial to Godzilla being a much-derived member of clade Archosauria, but tossing in that particular maniraptoran feature seems a bit much. Godzooky, on the other hand, might be able to make protowings work...

Godzilla has this in the bag, if I remember correctly Slattern was almost killed by Striker Eureka, and then he called for help in the form of Scunner which didn't do him any good. Then the nuke was detonated and Slattern attacked Gypsy in which he was shortly killed by Gypsy's chest cannon.
You must not forget that Godzilla is practically a walking nuclear bomb himself and that fact that he was born in a nuclear explosion of an H-bomb test. In the original Gojira its implied that Godzilla could not be killed by a nuke since he himself was in the blast and not only survived but also the embodiment of the H-bomb but deadlier and the only way to kill him would be by something more powerful than a nuke: the Oxygen Destroyer, which was far more deadly than a nuclear bomb. Also in Godzilla Raids Again it is said that Godzilla cannot be killed by a nuke as it wasΒ theΒ weapon that had 'created' him, and the only hope would have been Dr.Serizawa's Oxygen Destroyer, but it had been forever lost and as such all the humans could do was try and distract him with flares to bring back memories of the nuclear testing that angered him in the first place. Which if you think about it he wanted to go torwards the 'nuke' which means he wasn't afraid of its capabilities.
I know this is outside the films but in the IDW Godzilla comics he took a nuke from the Americans which he shrugged off like it was nothing(no injuries unlike Slattern) and gained his nuclear beam from it.

I imagine this would be a little bit like Godzilla vs Destroyah. Slattern would use his superior size and mobility to toss Godzilla around, but I doubt he'd be able to put G down permanently. Slattern would eventually tire out and make mistakes. Godzilla would rebound and regenerate and lay the smackdown on Slattern. The process would repeat for several days until Godzilla exhausted Slattern entirely and just beat him to death. I do't think Godzilla's ray-breath would be much of a fator. Slattern shrugged off a NUKE! Godzilla's raybreath<<<<<<<

This looks like an awesome and epic fight! The detail is awesome! Great work dude!

I have a bunch of friends who are arguing about who would win this fight! Most people say it would be Slattern because he took a nuke to the face and survived, but others say it would be Godzilla just because he is titled the king.Β

What if the sky catches on fire and your nose falls off? There's an endless amount of ways Big-G could kill Slattern and Slattern could kill Big-G. That would be a by chance thing if Godzilla's atomic ray managed to go right into Slattern's mouth.
