For some reason, I feel that this Monster was one of my favorite antagonists of the genre of fiction in general, that including enemies / antagonists of Anime and Manga. Buy probably because this monster is Godzilla's thematic antithesis in almost every way.

The Big D carries a lot of great villain weight behind it because it has a lot of the factors that go into that kind of status, from a great design to a backstory that connects well to our hero and destructive abilities/threat level. All around great character with the only flaw in the end being how difficult it was to move the adult form suit, God knows I'd never wish to be stuck inside that hot, heavy thing.

I suppose we have some opinions in common, especially for the fact that that abomination is the bastard conceit of the Oxygen Destroyer itself, the weapon that ended with the original Godzilla, is what adds that strange connection with the Big G that makes Destroyah unique and very few antagonists of the Godzillaverse that have a connection of that kind with the King of Monsters.
Even so, there are plenty of people who say they prefer SpaceGodzilla or Kaizer Ghidorah (both fantastic, but horribly executed) as the "Godzilla's ultimate enemy."
Although there is no shortage of G Fans who say that the SuperMechagodzilla is the real "Anti-godzilla" of the franchise.

I always liked this figure, but the thing that bothered me about it was that it was smaller than the Burning Godzilla figure. It should have been bigger.

We still have scaling issues all over the place and not just in kaiju toys. The recent movie monster series Biollante was a little short compared to the other monsters in the line, while in America with lines like the TMNT they still downscale big characters to save on that precious plastic
