Figured it more logical to put both of Necas baby Otachis in one entry, especially since the tiny one that came with the Mother Otachi was so small and my current camera is not quite up to the challenge most days to photograph anything too small. The little one is standard hard plastic and as mentioned came packaged with the mother Otachi, while the bigger one was a separate release by Neca to have a version of the character out there in a more collectible scale. Interestingly Neca decided to go with rubber material for the larger one, giving it a rather unsettling feeling and appearance when handling it. The unsettling nature doesn't stop when you see that umbilical chord wrapped around the little dude's neck, but for either figure Neca did a really commendable job though I know from my brother's experience that the smaller one has very brittle pieces, an all-too common plague on the line in general. I never really understood how AOTA hi could be pregnant, since the Kaiju in the movie are all genetically engineered creatures and presumed to be one of a kind creatures, and if she had parthenogenesis the little one would have been in an egg.
some fan theory is that she was pregnant by Leatherback, which is even more confusing to me.

It definitely has the better paint job, and even for the size the detailing is remarkable. I love seeing tiny scale toys with so much attention paid to their overall quality
