One thing that still makes Adventures in Odyssey stand strong is that even though it was primarily tailored for families with young children, they didn't shy away from talking about the hard stuff, like the loss of friends and learning that even in the worst pain there is a purpose, that God still loves us and seeks to lead us to good things and not suffering.Β We can rarely see the big picture, but we learn to appreciate the need to surrender our pain to the One who can take all of it.God shall wipe away all tears,
Thereβs no death, no pain, nor fears,
And they count not time by years,
For there is no night there.

Thank you for taking the time to illustrate this sacred moment from the episode. Cancer has deeply impacted my life over the last few years so this episode has always hit deep, especially after an older friend of mine sadly lost her own battle this past February. Her name is also Karen.

Thank you for your kind words. I've been doing pretty well in my grief, but moments still come when I wish Karen was still here to bounce teaching ideas off of. She's part of the reason I'm working to become a teacher myself. And thank you, I pray you may have a blessed rest of 2018 as well~
