The ancient past has withheld many secrets from humanity and obscured what we would like to believe to be the truth, but nothing remains a secret forever, Mothra was one such secret. The Mothra race was around during the creation of the dinozords 80 million years ago and flourished until 10 thousand years ago when the mana of the earth sent Battra to destroy the Atlantian weather control device, which he did but he went too far and began to destroy the earth herself and the Mothras went into battle with the beast and defeated him but the Mothra numbers were hurt so severely that by the 21st century the species would only be represented by two. In 1957 an expedition was sent to infant island, the stage for numerous atomic tests and there was found two tiny humans a foot high called the Shobjin who were the priestesses of Mothra, now a mere giant egg ,it was decided to leave the tiny humanoids alone as they were harmless and the natives would have never allowed them to leave alive otherwise, but a shady individual by the name of Clark Nelson returned later and kidnapped the little beings and killed many of the natives, he then went about exploiting the Shobjin for his own selfish reasons. Unknown to all except the Shobjin the remaining natives had awaked Mothra and the 55 meter larva had hatched and headed for japan to rescue her tiny friends and heaven help anyone who dare oppose her. Mothra had plowed through all lines of defense and had reached Tokyo tower where she cocooned herself and become a magnificent flying kaiju that took out for New York where Nelson had fled and was pinned down by UN police and killed in a gunfight in order to retrieve the Shobjin and stop Mothra. Mothra had just reached New York and was about to destroy the city when the Shobjin called out to her and stopped the destruction and mothra left for infant island where she would remain until 1963. A terrible typhoon hit infant isle washing to sea the new Mothra egg and washing it ashore Happy enterprises took ownership of despite the pleas of the Shobjin who said that a larva would hatch and eventually return home itself but not before causing much mayhem in search of food. Meanwhile Godzilla had resurfaced after his battle with King Kong and was headed for the egg, but the adult Mothra intercepted him but was no match for the huge dinosaur's heat ray and was killed but the larva hatched and encased Godzilla in a prison of silk and he fell into the sea. Mothra would have to journey from her home again in 1964 to try and coax Godzilla and Rodan to help her fight the menace of Ghidorah. The two reptiles ignored her until they saw her try to fight the menace herself even though she had no chance of victory, this swayed them to aid the larva and together route the three headed feind from the world. But, while Mothra fought Ghidorah the terrorist faction of the red Bamboo had gone to infant isle and kidnapped many of the remaining islanders to use as slave labor on Letchti island Mothra went into her chrysalis to become an imago to rescue her people many of whom would not survive, as Godzilla her now ally went to investigate on account of the nuclear energy. As Godzilla destroyed the base of the red bamboo mothra rescued her people only to be blocked by Ebirah a 60 meter lobster which Godzilla quickly sent fleeing to the sea. Mothra and the Shobjin would be Moved to Monster island in 1968 partly for their own protection and for the fact that the Shobjin would serve as translators and intermediaries between the humans and the kaiju and Mothra would be a calming effect on her fellow giants, she would surprisingly become a very good friend not only to Godzilla but to the huge Allosaur Gorosaurus.
