i like zilla, he has a similar yet different origin, after all japan has 2 godzillas, godzilla 90's and godzilla 2000, America needs one, even if it was a failed attempt.., it still had a good show, i liked it

Its been over ten years and I have gotten over it. It just needs to be renamed ZILLA. Its a nice run of the mill monster flick just not exactly godzilla. And yes he does have a badass look.

Geez, everybody here is so riled up about the American Godzilla. Does it matter that he's a totally different design? I enjoyed this movie, and I remember getting upset when they killed him at the end. Both are big lizards, so what does it matter if they look different?
OK, so maybe he's not quite as cool as the original. But why do we have to call him Zilla? That's rather condescending, no better than GINO.
How about "Dinozilla"? Or maybe Gigantis? I'd go with the former.

Cool pic. But I ask one question: Could we ever give this poor fellow a reasonable name? I mean, Zilla is OK I guess, but it still seems a little negative: "Taking the GOD out of Godzilla" in all.
I vote for something like "Gigantis" or "Dinozilla", seeing as he's more like a T-rex.
This guy is as much a Godzilla as the original, in my opinion.

He may not be godzilla, but he looks way more cooler than godzilla (sorry, its just that with all that lard in its theighs i cant understand how it moves) and i say F*** you to whoever dosent like him simply because idiots in hollywood picked a wrong name for the movie.

Plus the zilla godzilla fought in final wars wasnt Zilla jr or even the zilla you could tell by its coloration it may have been the same species but if it was Zilla or the stronger Zilla Jr itwould have been a longer fight than 12 sec's

Finally someone else realizes this. Everyone hatin' on the '98 version doesn't even realize the 'Zilla' in GFW isn't even the original creature. Even Toho themselves APPROVED of the design AND the script before it was released. The creation of Zilla gave them more things to work with after all the monsters they made since 1954.

out of all the drawings of ZILLA you done, this one is my most favorite. has the design and detail like what he looked like in the 1998 movie. the only thing i would change is to make his claws black like they were in the movie. other than that, its really awesome.

and on another side note i might write a little short sory of this GODZILLA that is a remake or a sequel to this movie if its a remake it might be a mix of the 1954 film and 1985 film mixed with zilla's design and if its a sequal then it'll be follwing the cartoom sort of (key word sort of)so GODZILLA will still have the powers of the jap(no rasicism)GODZILLA atomic breath,regeneration,indestructible, no backing out of fights,etc.well he might he's only 4 years old but already 54ft tall i just want to know what people think about this.the main monster antagonist will be MECHA(CYBER)GODZILLA from the series with kiryu's armor design still driven by a person.this is just a teaser people

I feel Zilla's pain cause I can't go to Sheetz without being called a stupid mother fucker by some idiot who thinks he's cool. That's the way I see it, Zilla's crying on the inside and so am I. The reason is both of us are having trouble revealing our true potentials. But look on the bright side at least Godzilla's just a big stupid retard who happens to be a bully and a jerk.
