I am not really sure whether this should be considered digital or traditional art! It was done by scanning in a drawing I did, which I then used photoshop to do the basic color on. I then printed it on a matte finish paper and used prismacolor pencils on it for the details. I then had to scan it in again to clean up the color. So it has been in an out of the computer a time or two.This piece was published in the subscriber centerfold of G-Fan magazine, (issue 72, released June/July 2005) which is a fan-zine about Godzilla and other Japanese monsters (aka Kaiju.)
It's my take on the more recent versions of Godzilla.

Thanks! I made him sorta blueish since in some of the 90's movies where he is nearly black, he has almost a bluish cast.

I really like your style. It has a strangely serene feeling about it, very polished, very pretty. It's nice, since often times Godzilla is portrayed in a more jagged form, which is wonderful, but as the norm, seeing that kind of art doesn't wow me like yours. Thumbs up!

Purty, feels like he's cover in rock then skin polish to the bone. I'm doing a godzilla protrait, it's been a extreme long time since I've done this lizard, but he's pretty fun if you ask me.

wow, i cant believe that was yours though! i never got to see who won either because we thought the event was over and we went home but we do have the banquet thing on dvd? O.O',... the g-fest peoples sent us a dvd of what happened when we were there... the whole event....my dad got all excited when he was on it... lol... cant blame him i guess.. i wasnt in the dvd because i had to use the bathroom after the movie showed..--sigh-- but hey it was better then getting up and missing the movie!.......anywhom... wow i must be getting boring by now.....are you entering any more art in this years g-fest convention? errrg i still think that picture you drew is awesome...
