Ok, I got ya. But in reality, I think Japan Godzilla would win. Sure Zilla has speed, but Godzilla has the atomic breath, and let's not forget that Zilla was actually KILLED by the military, something that hasn't even come close to happening to Godzilla. Plus, Zilla seems to act more on instinct whereas Godzilla actually thinks. IDK, I think the Final Wars confrontation is an accurate depiction of what would happen. But that's just me.

Well, which creature would actually win I think is a matter of opinion, it all depends on who's creating the battle. I also have to say that I think both the Japanese Godzilla and American Godzilla act more on instinct, but it appears the American Godzilla is more intelligent and actualy thinks. I consider the Final Wars "battle" to be nothing more than a parody, I have a hard time seeing it as an accurate depiction of such an event. But, it's Toho's Zilla (2004-2013) we're talking about here, thats practically all about tails and the creature flying up in the air.

Plus it all depends on which Godzilla we're talking about too. The older movies seem to portray Godzilla as having a more human-like and logical way of thinking, whereas Godzilla Jr. (2000 and on) relies more on instinct.

That's what was planned, for the Godzilla JR. to be in the Millenium series. And that's also how it was advertized.

If we consider the abilities of Zilla Jr., then he'll have more of an advantage. Godzilla will still win, but as I keep saying, Zilla will give him a good fight.

Missing out bro; I think it's all on Netflix if you're ever interested.
But anyways, Jr. still mostly relies on speed, but he's intelligent, and uses his burrowing abilities well. He's not as durable as the G man, but unlike Zilla Sr., he doesn't back down from a fight. His green atomic breath comes in handy too. I'd like to think it would be a "Godzilla vs. Anguirus" situation, with Zilla showing his allegiance to Godzilla after he's defeated. Cheesy, I know, but I like to think of it that way.

The fight of the century well until Godzilla 2000 slaps Zilla with his tail and breaths his atomic heat ray and kills him! Just a little Godzilla Final Wars reference their!! Awesome job your artwork is very inspiring!

Well, this looks interesting. Zilla here is actually pretty interesting. At his beefed up size, he actually seems like a credible Kaiju threat. Easily the equal of other pure melee threats like Gorosaurus, Titanosaurus or Anguirus. But he's no match for Godzilla anymore than Gorosaurus is a match for Godzilla. Zilla has speed and agility over Godzilla, but that's it. Everything else he has, Godzilla can equal or surpass. Don't get me wrong, you did a very good job of making Zilla seem far more competent, but Godzilla is still Godzilla, and he's been elevated to a level that is hard to surpass. Still, if these two could learn to work together, they might make for a formidable opponent. It would be interesting to see this Zilla team up with other Kaiju against bigger threats, like putting Zilla and Anguirus together against an otherwise stronger threat like Final Wars Gigan.Β
By the way, since you work on these comics, does your licence apply to all versions of Kaiju, or only certain ones? Could you use Gigan from the 70's and Final Wars? Or just the former? Could you end up using all 3 versions of Mecha-Godzilla? I know it might not make sense for a Kaiju to suddenly mutate its form, but many of these comics seem to have multiple continuities among series, so I wonder if you could switch designs fbetween these various series.

Well, if Zilla has his green atomic fire, than it''ll give him an advantage. I too would like to see him become an ally to Godzilla after they fight (much like Godzilla & Anguirus, Rodan, etc.)

Yes, it would help if Zilla had his green atomic flame, I'm not certain if the comics can do that or not, considering that it was in the cartoon, but not the movie. If he did, it would help against other foes, but not Godzilla here, as Godzilla is empowered by radiation and seems immune to heat.
But yes, it would be interesting to see Zilla and Godzilla team up against a single foe.

Well, not as much, not when he was a lot smaller than Godzilla. "Zilla has ALWAYS been cooler than Godzilla" Okay, wow, that isΒ definitelyΒ not an opinion held by the majority of fans.Β
It still doesn't mean Zilla can beat Godzilla one on one. And coolness isn't a factor here. Spider-man may be way cooler than the Hulk in a lot of people's opinion. But itΒ doesn'tΒ mean he can beat him in a fight one on one.Β
As I said, it takes a LOT to be able to beat Godzilla, and that's something Zilla just doesn't have. I in no way disrespect Zilla, I am trying to say that is quite respectable and awesome looking in this comic, but it doesn't mean I think he isΒ goingΒ to be the victor of this fight. It could very easily last a lot long than the Final Wars fight, and that will be something to see.

Look, I don't in anyway dislike Zilla, in fact I think he's disrespected a bit too much. But it seemed like you were trying to imply that just because You thought he was really awesome, and hyped him in your stories as such, everyone else should too, which I found a little too much.
