Description

The Siege

From within his ship, Karkaro was reveling in the chaos. The city of Los Angeles was under siege from his creations, and the human military was powerless against them. Even the Gyaos had proven to be quite useful once they had begun their attack. Though smaller, and weaker, their numbers proved far superior to anything the humans could throw at them. Even their mecha’s were proving insufficient even now. They were completely helpless, and outmatched. “How I love the sight of a defeated species. Soon this world will be ours, and the Cryog will have a new world to rule. Glorious.”

Suddenly, an alert sounded off.

“My lord! I’m detecting a high concentration of portal energy massing on the outskirts of the city!”

“So, reinforcements have arrived, eh? No matter. Soon, they will all fall before our collective might.”

Godzilla emerged from the portal with his three friends at his side to see SMG, Moguera, Gypsy and Jet Jaguar being overtaken by the Trilopods, and Gyaos. Godzilla growled at the sight, and issued a command to the Jaegers. “Those with long ranged weaponry, fire on the Gyaos, and Trilopods! Whatever you do, don’t hiit the three mecha’s who are fighting!” Taking his orders, the Jaegers began opening a salvo of canons, and missile launchers from their bodies. This took out several of the Trilopods, and many Gyaos, and allowed Godzilla to make the charge roar as he thrust his ax into the air. With Kiryu and Tristan beside him, the Jaegers charged into the fray and engaged the insectoid beasts. Tristan used his own scutes to cut into a Trilopod before jumping onto it, and driving his claws into its heart. Kiryu’s blades slashed, and cut through many a Trilopod, and Gyaos. As did Godzilla with his ax, though he did blast the occasional enemy with his atomic breath.

“Glad to see you’re still alive.” Moguera said to Godzilla.

“Well, you know how it goes: you get in a major fight, end up in a power coma for several weeks, and then go looking for an all-powerful being living in a magic tree.” Godzilla remarked, hacking down another Gyaos, and leaving a confused Moguera to shoot down a Gyaos with optic lasers. Godzilla then asked, “Have the humans evacuated the city?”

“Yes. Just as soon as that thing landed in the middle of the city.” Moguera indicated to the center, where the mountainous nest resided. And where Godzilla saw the source of Trilopods coming out by the dozens. He cut down three more, and then blasted eight Gyaos before saying, “Good. I would hate to think we were doing more harm than good right now if people’s lives were being lost.” He then cleaved a Trilopod’s skull with the ax, and swatted four Gyaos with his tail. Striker Eureka and Tacit Ronan sliced through several Gyaos with their blades while Crimson Typhoon sliced off a Trilopod’s head with both its saws. Saber Athena cut through numerous Gyaos with its energy sword, before stabbing a Trilopod with a backward thrust. Guardian Bravo’s whip tore through many Gyaos, and cleaved through just as many Trilopods. Others like November Ajax, Bracer Phoenix, Titan Redeemer, Cherno Alpha, Coyote Tango, Brawler Yukon, Horizon Brave and Romeo Blue relied on their fists, drills and drilling maces to tear apart the masses. This also applied for Gyppsy Avenger, SMG, Moguera and Kiryu. And for a time, it seemed that the battle was going well.

But in the midst of battle, a hologram was projected from The Command Ship, and displayed Supreme Commander Karkaro for all to see. “I have to say this is quite the display of combat. Who would have imagined an army of robots would appear out of nowhere like this? And led by Godzilla of all others. This is a pleasant surprise.”

“It won’t be so pleasant when we blow you out of that ship, Karkaro!” Kiryu shouted.

“Ah, Megalion. How bad it is to see you again.” Karkaro said. “Though I am surprised you’ve lasted this long, and against so many of my creations - not counting the Gyaos.”

“It doesn’t matter how many you throw at us, Karkaro.” Godzilla said, pointing his ax to the alien hologram. “We’ll keep fighting until the earth is safe from the likes of you.” Karkaro remained silent for a few moments, before he broke into a sinister smile, and brief bout of laughter. “How cliche’d of you to say! But I believe I have some Antilock friends who may disagree with your notion………..as does Ryuseicho.” No sooner had he said that did eight ships line up in a circle, and fire beams of blue energy behind the Jaegers. There was no explosion, but Godzilla could see something was happening. The beams were tearing open some kind of portal made of hellish energy. From within, he and the others could hear the howling of Antilocks as the portal grew large enough for many monsters to pass through. The jaegers themselves were more than worried now that they were surrounded on all fronts. Kiryu could sense their fear, and said, “You are Protectors of Earth. No matter what comes through that portal, you will stand your ground.”

And as predicted, a horde of antilocks erupted out of the portal like an infestation. A blade-faced creature called Mutavore, an avian beast known as Otachi, a muscular monster called Leartherback, a curve-horned horror named Scunner, a crocodilian called Raiju, a reptilian with curved spikes on its back called Insurrector, a reptilian horror named Copperhead a spike-backed, barb-tailed reptilian named Shikerthorn, a multi-armed creature called Hakujin, followed by a mountainous pair of kaiju named Raijin and Slattern, and a horde of antilocks with two legs, and two tendrils on their backs called Acidquills all poured out of the portal with feral savagery rarely seen before. Much to the shock of Godzilla, Kiryu and the others. By the time they could react, Leatherback had already knocked over Yukon, and smashed it into the ground with his fists, while Scunner slashed Horizon Brave across the chest.

“Volley!” Kiryu exclaimed, and those with long-ranged weapons primed them. “Fire!” All fired their volley. And while some of the Antilocks were injured, only Mutavore was killed by the missile barrage. The rest roared, and continued their assault. At the same time, the Trilopods and Gyaos were reinvigorated by the Antilocks sudden arrival, and resumed their assault. This time, while the army of robots managed to hold off the opposing forces, the inclusion of the antilocks was turning the tide. The Jaegers were beginning to fall to these monstrosities as Romeo Blue and Cherno Alpha also fell. Godzilla continued cutting down Trilopod after Gyaos, and managed to cut the throat of Insurrector, killing it instantly. But it wasn’t enough - they weren’t enough.

“We can’t hold much longer!” SMG called out, punching Raiju across its shelled face.

“We have to try!” Godzilla exclaimed, cutting off another Trilopod’s head

Then matters became so much worse:, the Ryuseicho appeared from the sky, landing before Godzilla with both bony blades brandished. The energy tendrils that formed Ryuseicho’s wings peeled back together to form his four tentacles. Each of the spear-tipped point aimed at Godzilla, who raised his ax for combat. “Go back to the abyss!” He said. “Fall into the darkness that awaits you, and your master.” Ryuseicho merely chuckled, and asked, “Do you not know death when you see it, you fool?” He then raised a blade into the air and declared, “This is MY hour!” The blade began to gather flaming energy as Godzilla stood his ground. He wasn’t sure what Ryuseicho had planned, but he would be prepared for it.

What he was NOT prepared for was for a wave of powerful energy to launch from Ryuseicho’s swinging blade, and knock him, and the other warriors down. Leaving them at the mercy of the Gyaos, Trilopods, and Antilocks, who tore apart Tacit Ronin, and Coyote Tango while they lay on the ground. The others tried to get up as quickly as possible, but they were being pinned down. Ryuseicho watched this, looked to the stunned Godzilla and said, “You have failed: the world of men and titans will fall. Darkness shall reign supreme once again.” Godzilla, however, was not having any of it. As he looked to his still fighting comrades, giving everything they had for this fight, even when the odds were against them, he found a spark of inspiration. The strength of will to keep on fighting. Even as November Ajax was impaled, he still continued fighting before his evisceration. Godzilla knew he just couldn’t give up, and he wouldn’t give up. Even if it took all of his strength, he would fight. He would win. And if necessary, he would die to do it. He took in a deep breath, and………..

SSSKKKKRRRREEEEEEOOOOOOOGGGGGNNNNNNNKKKKKKK!!!!

Ryuseicho was unimpressed, and readied to strike down Godzilla. But then a blue stream of atomic energy hit his back, and blasted off his tentacles. It was then all turned to see the source of the attack. And to Karkaro’s growing anger, another roar echoed through the battlefield.

SSSKKKKKRRRRREEEEEOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGNNNNNNNNKKKKKK!!!

The Titans had finally arrived to the battlefield.

Though when they were arrived, they were completely shocked, and a little intimidated to see the hundreds of thousands of monsters down in the city. Not to mention the Cryog fleet dangling in the air with the Gyaos swarm directly beneath them. It was a fight some, like Baragon, thought they might not win. But Angilas placed a paw on the smaller kaiju’s shoulder, and reassured him. “Courage, Baragon. Courage for our friends.” Atreus stood at the front of the army, surveying the numbers opposing the titans after he blasted the Ryuseicho in the back before it could harm his son.

“Form ranks, you maggots, form ranks!” Karkaro commanded from his ship to the kaiju army below. “Trilopods front, Gyaos behind.” Godzilla, and the Jaegers took this as their chance to regroup as they watched the new battle about to unfold. Atreus turned around to address the other titans. “On this day, we liberate our world from the scourge of evil that grips it firmly! United with the forces that fight for this planet, our victory is assured! Fear no Darkness, and arise! Arise titans of Midgard! Flames shall be spewed! Bones shall be broken! A fanged day, a red day, ‘ere the sun rises!” Feeling confidence in themselves, the titans prepared to charge the dark ranks, just as the Trilopods brandished their blades like spears. In spite of this, Atreus called out to his army, “Ride now! Ride! Ride for ruin, and the world’s ending! Death!”

“Forth, Shugoshin!!!” Atreus called out. In response, the Titans roared into the air with the volume of mighty horns. Horns so mighty, they shook the very Earth itself with their intensity. And in that instant, Atreus led the charge into battle. Every titan either ran, flew, slithered, or crawled their way across the landscape as they went forth. All of them understanding their purpose in the Balance of the Source. They would defend this planet from all who threatened it, or die trying. The Acidquills and Gyaos seemed eager to oblige them as they took up positions to begin firing on the Shugoshin titans as they continued their march. Even the Cryog ships prepared to open fire on the titan army charging towards them.

“Fire!” Karkaro cried.

A volley of firepower erupted from the Tenebren forces as the Gyaos fired their sonic beams, the Acidquills their projectile quills, and the ships their laser-fire. Seeing this volley, Novus flew in front of the Titans, and projected an energy barrier that deflected the projectiles. The best of this was that this ability didn’t drain Ghidorah of his strength, so he could keep it up for as long as needed. Godzilla, and his companions were surprised by such a display of power. Even the Tenebrens themselves were surprised by this, but still they continued their volley. Two more times they fired upon the Shugoshin, with the Trilopods adding in their own laser fire. But it was all for naught, as the Titans neither faltered, nor hesitated. They continued their charge, roaring into the horde that stood before them. Seeing the raging monsters about to crash into them, the tenebrens began to lose their nerve. Even Karkaro couldn’t believe what was happening before it was too late.

The Shugoshin Titans tore through the Tenebren ranks like they were cardboard, even as some of them tried to flee. The ground forces found themselves being overpowered by the Titan’s fury, and overwhelmed by their determination. The Antilocks were also startled by this charge, at first, but with Ryuseicho in the lead, they regained their spirit and charged the titans. But they would soon find they were no match for the titans fury. Leatherback found himself constricted by both Manda, and Tiamat. Rodan and Otachi engaged in an aerial dogfight which the former was winning as he tore into Otachi’s flesh with his beak, and finally drove his talons into her neck. Titanosaurus and Gorosaurus engaged with Raiju, while King Caesar worked with Behemoth, and Methuselah to overpower Scunner. Slattern was struggling to break out of a headlock Kraken had him in. Angilas challenged Copperhead to a ramming bout, while Godzilla and the Jaegers helped the other Titans battle the trio Antilocks.

Even with the Cryog ships opening fire on the army, it did little to stop their advancements, and only guaranteed that they would become the focus of some of the winged Titans. Those such as Camazotz, Typhon, Quetzalcoatl, Rodan, Jet Jaguar and Novus took to the sky and began tearing into any ships they could. And those on the ground decided to throw massive boulders at the ships, which did extensive damage. Yet it was those like Godzilla, and Atreus who truly brought down many of the ships with their atomic breaths, or oral rays. Novus, not one to be upstaged, decided to decommission the Gyaos horde. Most thought he was insane when he disappeared into the cloud of swarming demons. But then they were met with awe as suddenly a surge of lightning burst from the Ghidoran’s body, and electrocuted the majority of the horde. Leaving only a few left to fight. Even Ryuseicho was intimidated by the Titan army, and had no idea what to do, except prepare for the charging Godzilla, and Gamera to come for him.

Needless to say, this would be a war that would be remembered for ages to come.

Yet it was those like Godzilla, and Atreus who truly brought down many of the ships with their atomic breaths, or oral rays. Novus, not one to be upstaged, decided to decommission the Gyaos horde. Most thought he was insane when he disappeared into the cloud of swarming demons. But then they were met with awe as suddenly a surge of lightning burst from the Ghidoran’s body, and electrocuted the majority of the horde. Leaving only a few left to fight. Even Ryuseicho was intimidated by the Titan army, and had no idea what to do, except prepare for the charging Godzilla, and Gamera to come for him.

Needless to say, this would be a war that would be remembered for ages to come.
