My cop-out Halloween pic for 2012
For those who don't know, there's this website/chain of sites called "Creepypasta," which features what are essentially scary stories. Thusfar, I've only read two, those being the MAJORA'S MASK story about a haunted N64 cartridge (genuinely creepy stuff) and the epic, if somewhat corny, NES Godzilla story about, well, some strange goings-on experienced from an old NES Godzilla: Monster of Monsters game.
I was directed to the story by when he requested fan-art of the creature "Red" from the story, and while that beastie may require fanart some day, for the moment, with my pressing deadlines, I felt this one to be fun, quick, AND appropriate.
Through the course of the story, "Solomon" is revealed as a playable character alongside Godzilla, Mothra, and Anguirus, battling against what was apparently his former master. He struck me as a cocky bastard
His strange victory screen, "STILL THE BEST 1973" and a GIF I found online of the monster winking at the reader was what inspired this bit. Just seemed appropriate.NES Godzilla Creepypasta - [link]

In my opinion what made this creepypasta so great is that it knew what it was, a gory action creepypasta. Most of these suck due to lack of creativity and just go somewhere around the line of "OMG I SAW GODZILLA AND DEN CHILD BLOOD MANE!" but this creepypasta had a lot of creative things with it, was weird, and just kept the person wanting to explore more of this strange haunted video game.

The Godzilla creepypasta was pretty good. Like a Stephen King novel that was actually scary LOL
The Majora's Mask one, however, was unnecessary. The game is disturbing enough.

I rather feel the opposite. Felt NES Godzilla was more creepy (until near the end) and BEN is more corny. Actually given all the crazy time warping that goes on in Majora's Mask I think a demon impersonating a drowned boy is the least creepy.

Solomon and Red are both demons, presumably Solomon was a former servant/ally/slave of Red who ended up betraying him. Because Solomon is fucking awesome.

Just recently saw that. It was...strange.
And I don't get the reference. Just like the nararator. Godzilla should have beamed Red from the inside when he got eaten.
And Red was seriously freaky.

At that point, it was more about Red cheating and less about the abilities of the kaiju themselves. If Red hadn't been a sentient, nearly all-powerful demon controlling the game itself, then yeah, Godzilla would have mopped the floor with him (especially since Zachary was one hell of a player.) That frame of Solomon was just a red herring that didn't really make any sort of reference to anything.

Well, its possible that the frame was supposed to be an implication that was the year that Solomon betrayed Red, or otherwise did something to piss him right the fuck off. I like to think that Solomon beat the ever living fuck out of a (at the time, much weaker) Red, and all of his Allies, proving that of all the demons, he was the best. And then gave a bro-fist to Godzilla.

i checked earlier, its been at least half a year since it was updated. He most recent one was about Kaiju Combat.

In that case, I have no clue. He did mention that it took him a year to complete the first one, however, being that he does all of the spritework as well as the writing. The only thing we can do is be patient and hope that he'll finish Replay at some point.
