Ah, a personal favorite pic of mine, starring Zilla Jr. and Komodithrax, a monster from one of the later episodes of Godzilla: The Series. She was touted as a one-time mate for the mutant iguana...thing...then died (allegedly).I nicknamed her "Komi"

This is very touching despite the fact it features huge mutant lizards. I think Gino Jr would make a good daddy.

Finally, somebody else who treats Zilla with some long-denied respect. It's not his fault he was in a lousy movie, and they DO look sweet together. It's one of those things where you never do picture what "The King's" mate would look like, but this simply fits and in my opinion surpasses even the artwork/designs from the show.

Personally, I actually do like the movie. There are just as many good things as there are bad. It was how I got introduced to Godzilla and there is more that I want to give to the flick than I want to take away from it.

Oh, sorry. I'm so used to idiots saying it was bad when actually it was very good and it answered a few questions about Godzilla. And that movie is also how I got started on Godzilla as well.

No worries. While it certainly has problems I feel like people only hate on it because it's popular to do so. It actually has a good sense of pace, the atmosphere is grand and brooding when it's not being jokey, the music profound and stirring at times, and in my opinion flattered Godzilla more than it harmed him, contrary to what so many others have said of it. In fact, it probably had better focus than the new one did in certain places. But hey, both still have the big guy and they're worth the afternoon of some good, ole fun.

Coming from someone who thinks the 1998 film is bad I liked the TV series. In fact I liked it so much I wish that more people would remember that one instead of the movie. They were able to capture what made the Japanese film fun and exciting. I also like what they did with Zilla, like his Japanese counterpart they made him smarter, in some of the fights he was in you could sort of see how he was trying to work things out in his head to overcome the other monsters. He even showed restraint.Β He was an actual character in his own right.
I also like the redesign they did for the show, they made him look more like his Japanese counterpart which is a plus in my book by changing the shape of the head and the body slightly. He looks less like a T-rex on steroid and more like a... Godzilla.

I hated the movie, but the tv show was surprisingly good. Which just goes to show if you have some peopleΒ who know what they're doing and actually gives a damn, you can make almost any premise good.

Even if they did get together, wasn't Zilla Jr. sterile? They wouldn't be able to produce any offspring.

It was only said that Zilla Jr. can't produce offspring. That doesn't necessarily mean that he is sterile, but also that he didn't have a mate before Komi. So it could be possible that he is able to reproduce sexually rather than being sterile like we thought before this episode.
